SMH, yeah so lets not work on that as much as possible in the preseason. Most teams work on the fundamentals in camp, the Vikings save them for the regular season. Someone remind Frazier we open the season with 2 important division games on the road.

Do we even have a WR he's not adjusting to?

    I do not know.

"What I've seen is a better command from a guy who's more confident in what he's doing. You would expect that in his third year of this system," Frazier said. "But it's great to see. I can see him taking more control in the huddle, interacting more with other teammates, other than the small group of guys he's comfortable with."
Is Ponder a rookie? Second year, maybe, without snaps under his belt?

How long does it take each year to get in synch with the receivers?

Ponder is still adjusting to the NFL period. Remember he was not that good in college. Start Cassel.

Apparently he's still adjusting to Rudolph as well. He threw so far behind him that Wright caught it.

He was however, able to hit Rudolph when he was standing still. Can't blame Ponder for dropping that one.

We are still seeing this in preseason; Ponder is on target for hitches and curls, but he is off target for just about everything moving. MBT was on target, but we will not see him with the first team, so who knows if it it all a third string guise.

He was better than Cassel however, and was better last year than Cassel has been in his entire career excluding the year he played with Moss on the greatest offense in NFL history. Ponder has also been better this offseason against better competition. Whether or not Ponder is starting QB material is a fair question and a reasonable discussion to be having, but it's silly to think that Cassel is the answer when he has already proven that he isn't a good quarterback.

It's hard to be opptomistic with an outing like that.
