Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
I don't want to see the Vikings go into the playoffs as a Wild Card team. I want them to go in as Division champs!
It's all very simple. The Bears have to lost two games. The have left ATL (7-5), @GB (3-10), @MIN (8-5). They won't lose to GB so that means that they have to lose to Atlanta. Playing in the Met with a championship on the line they WILL LOSE TO THE VIKINGS.
The Vikes. on the other hand, need to win 2 of three just to tie and that would not make us winners. We have left Pittsburg, Carolina and the Bears. We really need to win ALL THREE! That would give us an 11-5 record and the Bears 10-6.
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
we already played carolina ,we play the ravens
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
Sorry. meant the Ravens. I'm so fired up and I have lost it! LOL
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
Nice breakdown there Cojo, I like your thinking!
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
if we won here on out...
that be a 9 game win streak!!! WOW!!
awesome!

If the Bears lose to us and the Packers and finish 10-6 then we can lose to the Steelers and beat the Ravens and Bears and still win the division ... just so you know ... so we really want the Bears to lose the Packers game more than anything ... though watching them completely tank out the final three games would be nice ...
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
the bears losing to the packers would be a miracle, or in other words, next to impossible.
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
As long as we compete (like we have since the Carolina game) we have a good chance of winning out. Both the Bears and Ravens have anemic offenses. Our defense should be able to hold them off. As long as we don't turn the ball over on offense we have a good chance of winning them. That's what balanced football does.
The Steelers will be a tougher game. The key to beating them is to contain their running game and put the game on Big Ben's shoulders. Our secondary is now communicating well enough to give Ben a tough time.
Since we're playing good defences, the key will be special teams. If ST can have them start deep in their half, the chances of our D holding them to a field-goal or less is higher. If ST can set us up with good starting position, the chances of us putting up 3 or more is higher.
These are going to be 3 ugly games.
Re: Playoffs? -- Pretty simple
if we win the rest of the games, and the bears lose one, and seattle rests their starters and lose a couple and ny loses one or two we have the top seed, scary eh? lol
