What the hell difference does it make?
Do you think we are going to win the superbowl without a QB?
Sorry, a little too negative there. I am happy with this season over all, in that they have been in contention for the play offs. Doubt they will get there or capable of doing anything if they do get there.
Next year should be a different story.

I see we are 2-3 point underdogs in St. Louis.

Odds on winning the SB for MN is at 150-1. We are 18th on the list of 32 teams and 10th on the NFC team list. Hmmm... I believe only 6 teams from the NFC make the playoffs. Vegas is not a believer, don't tell Adrian.

That's the thing. Even with long odds, there is a chance. Much better than last year. The team is trending in the right direction despite some shortcomings.

    @ Houston (11-2)
    vs. Green Bay( 9-4)

    Packers finish with:
    @ Bears (8-5)
    vs. Titans(4-9)
    @ Vikings (7-6)

    Bears finish with:
    vs. Packers (9-4)
    @ Cardinals (4-9)
    @ Lions (4-9)

This is what it will take for us to Win the division

    MOst likely scenario
Green Bay clinches the division if they win in Chicago on Sunday, so they MUST LOSE to the bears:
GB: 9-5(Still 1st place due to divisional record)
    CHI: 9-5
We of course need to win @ ST. Louis. St. Louis have only won 2 games outside of their division, vs. Redskins and @ BUffalo. They're just not a good team. Our defense should handle them, and AP should go off for 170+ We're 8-6

    Week 16:
    Bears win @ Cardinals (10-5)
    Packers win vs Titans (10-5)
We win @ Texans (9-6)(Better chance of this happening than the bears or Packers losing this week)

    Week 17:
Bears lose @ Detroit (10-6) (Divisional game, anything's possible
    Packers lose @ MIN (10-6)
    Vikings win vs. GB (10-6)

    Tiebreaking procedures are:

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

    Head-to-head vs. all 3 opponents:
    Bears: 2-2
    Packers: 2-2
    VIkings: 2-2

    Head to step 2:
    Divisional record:
    Vikings: 4-2
    Packers: 4-2
    Bears: 3-3

    Step 3: Common games:
Bears eliminated, Common games w/ packers are:

    Lions: win
    Lions: win
    Bears: win
    Bears: Lose
49ers: Viks win, Pack loses: 4-1 vs. 3-2
    seahawks: Lose 4-2 vs. 3-3
    Colts: Lose 4-3 vs. 3-4
    Texans: Win 5-3 vs. 4-4
    Rams: Win 6-3 vs. 5-3
    Jags : Win 7-3 vs. 6-3
    Cards: Win 8-3 vs. 7-3
    Titans: Win 9-3 vs. 8-3

Vikings win the division, Pack #2 Bears #3

Dead on right here. If we can win out. Then we have a shot at the frickin division. I don't think most people realize that and are rooting for the Packers this weekend to get the Bears closer to us.

I want the Bears to win ... then we control our own destiny for a division crown.

We win out, bears beat the packers and split their next two, we win the division. That's all there is we need to know. Probably not gonna happen, but we have that chance.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

    Everyone realizes it. Nobody believes.
If Ponder should come out of his coma, it could happen.
    Will it?
Well, I'm a Viking fan. Redundant disappointment has led to pessimism.

If we win and the Bears win the division would look like this.
    Packers 9-5
    Bears 9-5
    Vikings8-6

Even if we win the final two after that the bears could also win their final two to finish 11-5 and win the division.
But I agree the Bears winning is in the Vikings best interest.
The fewer teams with 10 wins the better.

Super Bowl odds at 150-1? Vikings have them all right where they want them.

Regardless of the scenarios of the final 3 games, the fact still is if Ponder hadn't screwed up & cost us the Packers game, the Vikings would be the division leaders right now because we'd own the tie-breakers over both GB & Chi.

If the Packers win one more game (Titans), they win the division regardless if both the Bears & us beat them. We don't control our own destiny if the Bears win, we need to rely on the Titans beating GB also. Even at that, it then comes down to tie breakers which would be. best won-lost-tied percentage in common games and if a tie there, best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
