Places to watch a game in Chicago area?
I'm a recent transplant from Minneapolis to Chicago.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend places around the Chicago area where people meet to watch Vikings games.
I know there is the bar list, but I would prefer to watch a game with other fans.
I don't know what it's like at any of the places listed.
Plus I know about 2 people in the city and would like to meet some new people who are into football.
Feel free to move this post if I put it in the wrong forum.

I know we have a couple of Viking fans here at PP.O who live in the Chicagoland area.
Hopefully someone will give you a good suggestion.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Well I live in Marengo, IL outside of Chicago.
I used to just go to the Chammps bar in Shaumburg to watch the games but figured out that the cost of Sunday Ticket was cheaper than drinkin a $100 bucks every Sunday so now I stay home.

Only place I know of for sure is Redmond's in Wrigleyville.
Corner of Sheffield and Roscoe...a couple blocks down the street from Wrigley Field.
It is full of Vikes fans on days when the game is not on regular TV.
Almost all of their TV's are on the Vikes, and you get the sound piped all through the bar.
Have also heard that a place just down the street from Redmond's called Underground Lounge also shows games, but have never been there, so can't confirm...

There's a link to a lot of Vikings bars in cities all over the USA under "Gameday" then "Vikings Bars" on the left hand side of the page.
It's temporarily not working properly right now due to the upgrades Webby is making.
