PK Dan Orner signed
The Minnesota Vikings have signed undrafted rookie free agent PK Dan Orner (North Carolina).
This kid had alot of interest from other teams before the draft.
I can't stress enough how inportant a reliable placekicker is to a winning team.
Hopefully we upgrade on this position by next season.Even babies know the difference.

That is the best news I've heard since the draft. He can start immediately

Where did you find this? I've been looking for information about the flood of undrafted free agent signings you usually see right after the draft, but I've found nothing yet.

Utecht signed with Indianapolis as a rookie FA, correct? I agree, it would have been nice to pick up Kaeding, but he went in the 3rd round (2nd pick). Hopefully this rookie FA will make things interesting in August. It'd be nice to look at some veteran help at PK though.

yeah, I wouldn't have been happy if we used our second round pick on a kicker.

Yea, If we had taken Kaeding before Don "The Destroyer", I would have blown a gasket. If we could have gotten him with our EXTRA fourth round pick, fine, other than that...hell no.

I would put Orner at least on the same level as
Kaeding and way better than Elling. I was
dissapointed they drafted a TE in the last round
thats not nearly as good as Utecht - oh well
