Probably not the worst option out there.

Started on a crappy team, got jerked around by his coaches, has 5 years experience, and has better stats than you might suspect after reading the San Fran media hack on him.

Keep in mind that the Mayor of San Fran once said that Jeff Garcia shouldn't even play football....

I can think of far worse options.....like Thigpen.

    Caine
I bet yutz's from other teams are saying the exact same thing about Tjack right now.

depending on asking price, this is the best option. bring mcnabb in for 2 years, let ponder develop.
...Rodgers had to hold on the ball longer, giving players like Jared "I am completely insane and will literally eat your children" Allen time to sack Rodgers again. And again. And again. Actually I think Rodgers may have nightmares about Jared Allen the rest of the year.

I don't mind this option really. Gives McNabb a chance to try and reignite his career and give Ponder a chance to sit and learn.

I am not sure with the shortened camp and all that it would be wise to run Ponder out there on day 1.

Re: PFT's Team checklist: Minnesota Vikings

    Lets see:

What this team really needs right now is an aging QB on his last leg that is looking at one more shot at glory. Yeah, the Vikings have NEVER tried that one before and if they ever do I am sure it is going to end well for them.

In fact, had they ever tried to sign:

    Tarkenton in his twilight
    Archie Manning
    Warren Moon
    Randall Cunningham
    Jeff George
    Jim McMahon
    Brett Farve

or a plethora of other old washed up QB's we would have obviously won a SB by now.

    Oh, wait a minute..........
