    Online petitions are worthless.
    If you really want to make a difference, write to your state representatives.
    Instead of getting 10,000 signatures on a worthless petition, put 10,000 letters or emails on their desk (or in all actuality, their aids' desks).
    That will get the point across a lot better, especially in an upcoming election year.
