The Petition Campaign To Get Cris Carter In The Hall Of Fame

It was a BIG mistake and shame that Cris Carter was not inducted in the Hall of Fame last year.

Therefore, I decided to start this little "Online Petition-Campaign" to try to make it more obvious that one of the best wide receivers should be voted in the Hall of Fame this year.

In my book, Cris Carter is the best receiver the Vikings have ever had, next to Randy Moss obviously. I also believe that he belongs on the list of the top 10 best wide receivers of all time. Not only that, but I also believe that he's on the better half of it.

11 wide receivers are in the Hall of Fame to this day. Should there be any doupt that Cris should be the 12th? When he already belongs in the top 10 on the all time list for shure?

Here are a few respected people and former players that share my opinion:

    http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80d534b0

Instruction on how to find the clip:
On the webpage, click on "NFL Network" which is between "Featured" and "Teams".
On the list to the left called "Browse Videos", look down the list and click on a option called "NFL Top Ten". On there, you will find a video titled "Top Ten Not in HOF: Cris Carter" which is a little video about Cris Carter.

NFL.com has ranked Cris Carter as the 3rd best player not in the Hall of Fame today.

    Feel free to sign!

... and I welcome everyone that for some reason believe that Cris Carter should NOT be in the HoF, and please explain why?

CC will be in the hall of fame, no worries.
    Online petitions, however, are worthless.

sorry, but petitions don't do much for anything at all, especially online ones.
However, He needs to be in, and don't you worry, he'll get in

    Carter is obviously HOF worthy.
Don't know if an online (or offline) petition is going to help anything, as the voters are a bunch of writers that have pretty much learned to ignore letters, e-mails, and other comments from their readers over the years.

If anybody motivated enough to start an online petition thinks they could write a letter to the voters that would be considered or at least read, then I would suggest doing that at a time closer to the voting period.
A letter to Peter King or some other credible national personality would be very helpful if he were to broadcast those thoughts to others.

    The selectors are listed here.

As always, Sid Hartman is terrible at this.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

It's disgusting that Carter's not in the hall of fame he's statistically the second best receiver of all time.

Chris Doleman, 4th on the all-time sack list, 3rd on the single season list.

Randal McDaniel was unquestionably the best guard of the 1990s.

John Randle best pass rushing defensive tackle of all time.

And Jim Marshall.... 282 straight games, over 300 if you include the playoffs, 20 straight seasons without missing a game. Playing defensive end outdoors in Minnesota, playing through broken hands, an ulcer, pneumonia, and a shotgun wound. Jeff Feagles' record to break this is ridiculous, Favre's isn't nearly as impressive... Marshall is by far the toughest.... how he's not in I really do not know.

The Vikings don't get the love they should, if all of these guys don't get in within their first 5 tries the voters need to be replaced.

Of course he will. It's inevitable. No petition is going to put him in.

But I'll bet when CC does go in, HEY will be right back here posting, "See I told you my petition worked!"

He will rip the Vikes when he gets inducted

    He hates us

Great player.. Not sure why he is so against us.. I can understand not being bias.. But he seriously thought the Lions were gonna beat us.. I could see an upset.. But he thought for sure they were gonna take it

I hope he makes it though.. He was a good player for us

And if Gus had played the entire game, they damn well probably would have beat us & Cris would have been spot on.

I have no problem with an ex-Vikings player calling them as he sees it, rather than donning purple shades & claiming we will win every week.

It has nothing to do with animosity.
