Re: Are Peterson & Taylor the new Maroney & Dillon

I say put Richardson in at full back, put AP in at tail back and run him as much as you can without wearing him down. Use Taylor as a backup to give Peterson a break when he needs it and keep MM for a backup in case of an injury.

I could not agree with that more. We have to be sure AP can handle the load before we give it to him. We already know CT can, so he starts carrying the ball 60-70% of the time. AS the season goes on AP takes more of the load if he stays healthy. Running AP all the time is a recipe for what might be an injury prone back.

I agree that you can't run AP every play but he should at least be on the field for most of them. A home run hitter like him will take the defenses attention away from other payers so they can get good yardage. Fake the toss to Peterson then hand off to Chester up the middle should work a few times this year.

I think there is a better chance that Chili is the next Les Steckel.
Maybe even the next Les Nessman.

Seriously, he states that Peterson is significantly better than Maroney was coming out of college.
I believe that Maroney was pretty darn good coming out of the U.
That must mean AD is awesome.
I can't wait to see him in action.
Well, since he already made it past his first season and doubled Steckel's number of wins, I don't think he can still be the "next Less Steckel."

Which makes him being the next Belichek that more impossible haha

Kiss your money goodbye. They will use both backs in the backfield at the same time by the 4th game.

Or are you not counting that?

Too bad he's playing football. Seriously, he needs to prove he can make the big plays in this league. I'm confident he can, but teams won't be timid of him until he MAKES them.

Re: Are Peterson & Taylor the new Maroney & Dillon

not for nothing guys but chester was by far our best offensive player last year and some of you sound like you want him to touch the ball like 5 times a game.
i love AP and think he's gonna be great but i think they can share the load and go with who has the hot hand on any given day.
plus they can create some packages where they are both on the field at the same time.
chester is still one of our better offensive weapons so he needs touches too.
and in closing i think taylor and peterson have the potential to be twice as good as maroney and dillon
