Vikings running back Adrian Peterson surprised a group of kids from the Boys & Girls Club with a holiday shopping spree Tuesday evening at Dick's Sporting Goods in Richfield.

"Growing up and not being able to have everything I wanted, I understand where a lot of these kids might be coming from," Peterson said. "Now that I'm in a position to help, it feels good."

Said it before, gotta love this kid.

Sort of makes you well up with pride, what a great human being Adrian Peterson is. His family and friends should be very proud.

I hope he stays a Viking his whole career.
He's certainly faced adversity in his life and he deserves good things- like maybe an MVP and a Super Bowl title?

Glad this guy is a Viking for many, many reasons.

I say he tears up Atlanta for 250+ yards... he'll ride this good feeling right into the game.
