Wednesday after team meetings and film sessions, Minnesota Vikings receiver Sidney Rice got a phone call from his teammate, Adrian Peterson. Rice described the phone call on his website's blog:

Today we had meetings and the receivers and quarterbacks stayed for extra film, so everybody else got out before us. After I walked to the locker room and my phone rang....

He drives a Maserati? Kind of high end considering him being on a rookie contract and not having established himself as a proven player yet.

Re: Peterson pranks Rice
I think this kind of stuff is awesome.
Again, thanks for the reads Singer.
I love the chemistry this team seems to have and that is one prime reason I am more excited about the potential of thei team then I have been in a long time.
I'm excited every year but there is always that glimpse of doubt.
This year is the exception.
I am usually nervous against crappy teams.
I never take any games for granted because it is the NFL and anything can happen.
But I expect the Vikings not only to beat bad teams but destroy them this year.

I like this stuff too...keeps the energy level high, but lightens up the tension a little.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

AD should keep the car until Rice puts up some real numbers this season.

Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Yes, he has "millions", but not ludicrous millions.
