It just says he was limited in practice.

Maybe he had a prior engagement that Childress allowed him to be late because of.

But, it could also be an injury. I thought he got hurt at one point during the game, but he played fine afterwards, so I don't know what it could be.
You must have not read my first post -- it says "Hamstring injury!"

I thought he looked like he was limping a bit when he came off the field at the end of the Colts game.
I must have misread it.

Yeah, my heart stopped for a bit too, while I hovered over the link, afraid to open it...

Peterson's sore hamstring has Taylor ready for more

http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/28583494.html?elr=KArksi8cyaiU9PmP:QiUiacyKUU

An eventful Wednesday at Winter Park included running back Adrian Peterson's name being listed on the injury report.

Peterson had limited participation in practice because of a hamstring injury....
More added to the original story. Also...

Three of the team's top four wide receivers -- Sidney Rice (knee), Bernard Berrian (toe) and Aundrae Allison (foot) -- were listed on the injury report. Rice, who has a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, did not practice. Berrian and Allison had limited participation.

Re: Peterson on the injury report

If I were a betting man, I would say that Taylor carries most of the running load on Sunday but it won't be a lot because Gus is going to throw a lot of shorter passes in the game. Outs and crossing patterns I would guess to looses up the log jam in the box and give Chester more room to run later in the game.

Re: Peterson on the injury report

It looked to me like Peterson ran his heart out on Sunday.
I saw him will his way forward on so many runs it almost hurt to watch.
He may be Superman, but come on.
We need to use him, not abuse him.
I think Taylor should be thrown in the mix more.
He is a great back and a good change up.
We have a 1-2 punch, lets use it!
Its better to lose the first game than the last one.
