I'd like to, just for the record, cite the law of averages.

The more opportunities that occur for a certain scenario to take place, the higher the likelihood an observer will witness said scenario.

For example:

Adrian Peterson is known to have an aggressive running style, meaning he initiates contact that may otherwise be avoided. That said, the number of times he has been handed the ball has increased enormously from last year.

The more he is handed the ball, the more times he is likely to drop it.

Keep in mind, that also begs the argument that the more times he is handed the ball, the more times he will bust one of those galloping runs where he bobs his head like he's bumping some Atmosphere on his ipod under his helmet.

You get what I'm saying, but I just wanted to make sure people keep some perspective here.

His ankle is probably ok. This is a fantastic ploy that has given me a reason to make my first worthwhile post in quite some time.

i don't think it's so much that he is injury prone.. it's more of the fact that every D that he has faced has one target in mind... take him out of the game.

and those arn't small guys trying to do this..
i luv his running style, i appreciate his never die attitude.. and i think this kid gives more chances of being hit because of those 2 things. should he be sore and beat up.. yes he should.. and Bchill is doing what's right putting in CT more often now then before. this RB combo is just !#%$! amazing. with both able to play.. i think we're more dangerous with AP/CT then we were with CC/Moss


Johny walker needs to make an add with AP/CT!!

While that is true to a point, AD's fumbling is a problem & has fumbled the ball more times than any rusher in the league. Part of it's due to the amount of carries, but a part of it is also because he fails to secure/protect
the ball.

Let's look at the top rushers with at least 250 carries;

Turner: 332 ATT, 1,421 YDS, 2 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 1/116 (0.86%), TD Ratio: 15/332 (4.5%)

Peterson: 320 ATT, 1,581 YDS, 6 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 1/53 (1.89%), TD Ratio: 9/320 (2.8%)

Portis: 291 ATT, 1,337 YDS, 2 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 1/146 (0.69%), TD Ratio: 7/291 (2.4%)

Forte: 280 ATT, 1,115 YDS, 1 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 1/280 (0.36%), TD Ratio: 7/280 (2.5%)

Grant: 268 ATT, 1,036 YDS, 3 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 1/89 (1.12%), TD Ratio: 4/268 (1.5%)

Jones: 263 ATT, 1,221 YDS, 2 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 1/132 (0.76%), TD Ratio: 13/263 (4.9%)

Tomlinson: 257 ATT, 924 YDS, 0 Fumbles, Fumble to Carry Ratio: 0/257 (0.00%), TD Ratio: 8/257 (3.1%)

AD fumbles significantly more times per carry than any RB in the league with 250+ carries, 3X more often than Turner who has 12 more carries than he does, over 1.7X more per carry than anyone else & he is middle of the pack in TD ratio per carry of those RB's.

2.2X more per carry than Turner
2.7X more per carry than Portis
5.2X more per carry than Forte
1.7X more per carry than Grant
2.5X more per carry than Jones
Tomlinson has yet to fumble the ball

Put that TI-85 down singer, those stats are painful proof that AD must focus on ball security.

Stick a fork in AD. He is done.
