Richardson, who blocked for Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson while with the Kansas City Chiefs, can testify to the rookie's high-speed ways. Patience, he says, is a virtue not often found in young runners.

The learning curve should not temper Peterson's overall style.

"His upside is tremendous," Richardson says. "He runs with a mean streak."
I was watching a you tube clip that was posted yesterday of AP running at OU.
I was amazed at how he appears to be quicker when he makes a cut.
He doesn't look like he slows down to make the cut.
    It is really amazing.
    He is truly Kinetic.

Been a rash of things in the papers lately that seems to have been openly ripped off from this page.

I am sure after logging on and reading some of our stuff Bonehead Peter King decided to come up and see for himself what we were chatting about.

As long as we use him enough and he stays healthy we are set. I could give two shits about the WCO if we run AD enough.

    Case-in-point

You change the scheme to fit around your players.

I bring this up because I'm scared we aren't going to run enough.

Re: Is Peterson a home run hitter for Vikings?

I thought this comment was better than the article itself.

For those who haven't had the experience of seeing AD play, you are in for a treat. I live in Norman, near campus, and have watched this kid since day one. I've followed the Sooners for 40 years, and Peterson is the real deal. Consider that I've seen Billy Sims, Joe Washington, Steve Owens, and Marcus Dupree in crimson and cream...this guy is better.

Some people still don't realize that this kid DID NOT HAVE TO PLAY in the Fiesta Bowl. Playing or not wouldn't have made any difference in him being a top pick in the NFL Draft. He chose to play to help his team, not himself. He reinjured the collarbone in the 1st quarter, but scored the last Sooner TD in the OT. He could have sat, could have WATCHED the game instead of risking $40M. He played for and with his friends and team. THAT'S the kind of player the NFL needs. Not another T.O. or ANY Cincy Bengals player.

Yes, AD may not play 5 or 10 years. His running style and refusal to quit, even when hurt, may leave him out of the game very soon. I hope that's not the case. This kid is special...as a player and a person. I hope he gets the chance to show the rest of the world this for years and years.

Well we'll will have to see him play in order to determine that.
Couldn't you have answered that in your 1st post?

    I do agree though.
