Peterson gets the publicity on new SI cover

Fresh off a 180-yard rushing performance that included a remarkable 64-yard touchdown run, Adrian Peterson will be gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated this week.

The magazine is due to hit newsstands on Wednesday

    I love it!
Now lets sit back in watch him shatter the all time rushing record in a season.
Between getting Favre and him getting more in more experience I expect this season to be nothing short of HUGE for Adrian.

When was the last time a Vikings RB was on the cover of SI?
    Foreman?

Wasn't in 1988....Nelson drops the Wade Wilson pass for a TD against the Redskins in the NFC Championship game?
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Well, there was a 2008 NFL Preview issue with Adrian again.
But before that, the last I could find was this one from October, 1989:

Maybe you need another personality that doesn't remember that whole ordeal.
I think I know someone you could talk to about that...
