I am stunned that Philip Rivers is not mentioned more ... his numbers are absolutely great this season.
but the chargers are not, which is what hurts him.
You notice Drew brees doesn't get much mention either.

Re: Peterson gets no love for MVP

    1. DeAngelo Williams
    2. Peyton Manning
    3. Phillip Rivers
    4. Drew Brees
    5. Adrian Peterson

Although Peterson didn't have amazing numbers.. Without him we would have been fucked.. And that has to play into it.. he did lead the lead in rushing (and fumbles I know) He needs to be in the top 5 IMO

Because Drew Brees is overrated. He throws crappy interceptions, plays terrible on the road, shows very little heart and disappears in must haves.
You can say what you want about 8-8 or whatever, but Philip Rivers was the heart and soul of a playoff team that fought very hard to get there. He has the best passing numbers in the game and far away the best passer rating. And Brees got A LOT of mention while the Saints were in contention ... but I have not heard Rivers name once despite being the best (numbers wise) QB in the league this season.
I personally think Peyton is a solid choice, but the lack of love for Rivers is kind of baffling.

Re: Peterson gets no love for MVP

I think AP would have easily got it if he only had like 1-3 fumbles haha the whole 9 fumbles this really killed him....i think he is more important to his team than any other player besides maybe peyton

You think of Deangelo.....they still have delhomme and steve smith (pretty deadly combo) and a solid back in stewart

    River.....still has LT

Brees.....well bush being injured all the time he is pretty important but obvious his team didnt do well this year

Matt Ryan.... definetly rookie of the year but not the MVP turner had more impact on that team I think this year

but if you take away AP from our team you still have chester who I love but you would have to rely more on tarvaris and our receivers.... Although I have some new found faith in tarvaris this year and our receiving core has really come around....but AP brings soooo much more to our team..

Teams game plan around AP not our pass game

soooooo I believe peyton should get it 9-0 in the last nine games pretty sick

That thing that really sucks for AP is most of those fumbles came in 2 games......4 against the lions and 3 i believe against atlanta!

you can tell its really a mental game! or else thats the only thing those defensive teams practices all week!

To be fair, LT was not the same LT this year, it was basically all on Rivers.
With that said my ballot would be:
    1.Peyton Manning
2.Eli Manning(hey after all that team went through, losing Strahan, Osi, Plax and all that I think he deserves some love)
    3.Adrian Peterson
    4.Chad Pennington
    5.Deangelo Williams

Don't any of you have NFL Network? Just today I heard them mention Peterson for MVP as they have for weeks. Deion is all about it.

I think that Ryan for MVP is a joke. Sure he is a good QB especially for a rookie but his running games is what did it for him. The games they lost are the ones when he threw the most passes.

Re: Peterson gets no love for MVP

I think it's pretty clear at this point that it will go to Manning.

Peterson should get consideration, but nine fumbles (most of them down the stretch, when everyone was paying attention) hurt his cause a lot.

As far as the other guys....Michael Turner should get consideration too. Matt Ryan had a good year, but not a great one and was largely carried by his running game.

    Manning is the clear choice.
