A #1 is not determined by stats alone, but I tend to agree with King on this issue and with Childress. We'll see. Even if Burleson was still on the roster I wouldn't be calling him a #1. Maybe this is Williamson's time to emerge as the #1.
Possible. I wouldn't discount any of our recievers yet. One of them may very well shock us all this year...

    2. I think what worries me the most about the Minnesota Vikings is hearing that head coach Brad Childress thinks Koren Robinson will be a fine No. 1 receiver. Sheesh. I know he has to say all the right things about his team, but that hardly gets the folks in Duluth and Fargo and Pierre all fired up about the season up there in the north country.
What is that supposed to mean?

I don't really think that we need a true "number one" receiver. I think we have enough solid receivers (counting Chester and Wiggins) to where the sheer amount of solid options is greater than or equal to having one clear cut number one and a bunch of below average wr's.

He's watched Fargo one too many times. And he thinks the people actually act that way.

i think k-rob will be a fine #1, not amazing, but fine

lets say he had 1,000 yards 5-6 TD's, ok nothing special about that right?
well, what if you throw in another 800-1000 yards for t-will, another 600 for wiggins, and another 600+ for taylor, and 5+ TD's for marcus robinson

a player doesnt win games, the team does, and when you look at our team, i have no worries =)

so shut the fuck up Peter King

King is not far off on this ... I think a big reason people are not jumping on the Vikings band wagon is when you look at the "skill" spots on offense. We have an aging (though effective) quarterback, we have an unproven stable of backs, and we have no true No. 1 receiver ... while our offensive line, fullback and tight ends seem solid ... it is very tough to know what we will get from our "skill" positions. If we get 1200 yards from Chester and 1,200 yards from K-Rob or T-Will and 700 from the other then we may be serious contenders in the NFC, but those are big ifs.

It's some fat fuck trying to poke fun at a state he doesn't know SH!T about. I'm tired of these idiots trying to disrespect not only the Minnesota Vikings but also the state of Minnesota. Show some respect or get the fuck out.

Re: Peter King bags on Koren Robinson

Copied from the Official Joke Page:

This morning I was standing next to a very fat fellow named Peter King at a urinal when suddenly, for no discernible reason, he confided in me that he "hadn't seen this thing in 15 years."

Not knowing why Peter King suddenly decided to confide such personal information to a complete stranger, and not knowing what else to say and wanting to be helpful, I said, "Why don't you diet?"

Giving me a surprised sideways stare, Peter said,

"Dye it? What color is it now?"
