Thread: Perspective

Coming into this year I said to myself and some fellow Viking fans that I haven't felt this good about an upcoming season in a long while. Although our team is not yet complete...their playing with charisma, intelligance, and our coached by a no-nosense, old school Coach. (Tice-I'm proud to say is a Maryland boy). However we need to relax and let the season roll on. I'm not trying to be the pessimistic Viking fan but I'm retaining my excitement until we beat the broncos and chiefs.
Teams win superbowls not because they have the most talented players...but because they've gelled together over a period of time and our balanced on both sides of the ball. Hence Snyder (owner of the skins) whom tries to buy a superbowl team every year, which will never work. So when we beat a top notch team, play 4 quarters of football, and all 8 cylinders are firing I'll join the party.

I wish I could say I feel sorry for the 49ers dillema, but after years of falling victims to the 9ers in the regular season and playoffs I simply can't. Anyone remember the 49-7 loss to the 9ers in 88 when we had the best defense in the nfl...I DO!!!!
