Percy Harvin steal of the first round so far??
He may be the Wr who has contributed most to his team so far. Lets take a look, Michael Crabtree has not even signed yet,Darius Heyward-Bey..has done absolutely nothing. Kenny Britt has been rather crucial to his team but they are struggling and his numbers have been a little down. Hakeem Nicks has not seen the field much. In fact the only rookie reciever who has been as good as Percy is his Florida teammate Louis Murphy who has had to pick up the slack due to Heyward-Bey's woes in Oakland. I know its early, way too early to tell but no other player in the first round other than Mark Sanchez has been as valuable to his team.
Also on a wow factor side note..Percy hasnt returned kickoffs since his freshman year in High School!!! and today he busts one for 101!

steal?
Probably since we got him at 22.
Best player?
Hard to argue against Sanchez so far.

Re: Percy Harvin steal of the first round so far??
You can't go wrong with either Harvin or Sanchez(double bias) Harvin was definitely a steal.
Harvin is the play maker we all expected he would be, and maybe too soon. He's picked up the game pretty well. Explosive, good hands, and strong for his size. He's been Brett Favre's safety blanket. For Sanchez, he has a solid defense to help him out, so he doesn't have to carry his team; however, he has been very efficient on 3rd down, and he is very poised. Don't be surprised if he and that Jets defense win that AFC East because the overrated Cheatriots just aren't as good yet as the 07 Cheatriots. With that being said, Sanchez will win the Rookie of the year, and Percy Harvin will make the probowl if he continues to produce. Let's forget about the
awards for now, and let's focus on the Packers on Monday night... SKOL!

Yep no chance of Percy winning rookie of the year. Last week Sanchez won rookie of the week with like only 150yds. It should have went to Harvin or Knox.

Re: Percy Harvin steal of the first round so far??
Percy has definitely made a difference for the Vikings.
It is also clear that the Favre-Harvin combo is a BIG part of why the Vikes are 3-0.
IMO there is no other receiver on the Vikes who could have made the same plays as PH.
BB and Syd have skills but they aren't PH type skills.
What is scary is I don't think PH has come close to reaching his impact level yet.
IMO he will just get better and better.
Favre will help to make him better.
Bevel will find more ways to get him the ball.
PH will start to attract more attention from the D and it will be up to BB, Syd, and Shank to take advantage.
So far PH is the SotD, and could be ROY if they took draft position into account.

Its hard to tell still, but he has looked impressive so far.
He seems intelligent, which is rather nice, and he plays hard all the time.
He has opportunities in front of him if he takes advantage of them.
I was disappointed when the drafted him, but it seems like he has his head on straight now and has come to play the game.

Awesome when he turned on the afterburners and split the field with that return. SOD, maybe. ROY, too early to tell. But we do know that Crabtree isn't either.
