I twould be nice if Klewe could kick field goals. I don't know his accuracy. I do know his leg is strong. With that being said, why doesn't he do kick offs?
I do like the fact the Vikes have been hanging in to the end lately. It gives them a chance to win. I think some of that has to do with the defense starting to gel and improve. Brian Williams has come on this year. I have to say I'm impressed with his play. I think individually a lot of the defense has improved. It just took a while to improve as a team. EJ Henderson has come on, Corey Chavous has been strong for the most part, Fat Pat, K-Will, has been good too. I'm so happy they are playing Lance Johnstone more often too. With Erasmus James learning, next year this line may be a force. I wouldn't mind seeing:

    E. James
    K. Williams
    P. Williams
    L. Johnstone
    K. Udeze swaping in and out

Not too shabby if you ask me.
i've asked that question before too. the other thing i can think of is maybe he struggles with his accuracey when the ball is on the tee.

    Thanks Josdin

Edinger is clutch....but he is no Fuad Reviez....Fuad was waaaay more consistent...edinger makes 60% of all of his kicks (100% of the pressure kicks) but 60% is not good....Fuad would be like 95% in all kicks, regardless if they were to win the game or not....Fuad was a more complete kicker....but Edinger is clutch

    Kluwe....he's great!

Vikes pro bowlers (who I think deserves it):

    Chris Kluwe
Darren Sharper (2nd in INTs, 1st in INT yards)
    Pat Williams
Actaully it is higher than 60%.

    Fuad was about the same.

Besides Edinger being good in the Clutch and Kluwe with his Booming Punts,

I'm very happy with the fact that the Vikings are pulling out the wins at the end.

I'm saying, I can't remember the last time I've seen the Vikes make comebacks, or hang in and play tough in the last quarter for a long time..

Tice must be saying all the right things to the team at half time, and our team has heart....

This is going to be a very interesting season for us, from here on out.....
    RIGHT ON, NED!!!

No doubt Kluwe is a great punter, but he still ranks #6 in the NFL & 2nd in the NFC.

Kluwe is averaging 45.5 YPK (62 longest) & Bidwell is at 47.3 YPK (61 longest)
YPK for a punter doesn't mean much. Its more about hang time, how many inside the 10yrd line, and longest. If the offense is doing a decent job the kicker is usually trying to place a 30yrd punt inside the 10 with a hang time that allows the D to be standing there when it comes down. I haven't seen a stat, but Kluwe's avg hang time has to be 5+ seconds.

I laughed at Tice's comments after the game. He said he just had to convenience Edinger that every field goal attempt was at the end of the game. He makes all of those.

You forgot Mckinnie on the Pro Bowl list. I don't think Kluwe will make it this year but he should within a year or two. I also think winfield deserves it(best tackling corner in the league, always around the ball carrier), he just needs to pick off 2 more to get people to vote for him.

Edinger has made clutch kicks but let's not get out of control here. He earns a lot of money to kick field goals and let's face it, he hasn't been consistent. I commend the guy for making a 56 yarder and a 48 yarder with the game on the line on the road. That is awesome. But let's also look at how he has missed field goals that ruins a team spirit. How many easy ones has he missed this year from in the 20s or 30s? I think we need to look for a place kicker again in the off-season. All field goals mean something. Not just the ones at the end of a game. You can't tell me you don't get mad when the Vikings drive down the field and he misses a 30 yard field goal. As many problems as our offense has had this year, he needs to make those.
He has too been consistant. He consistantly makes kicks in the second half and misses them in the first half. Those early on kicks are just as important as the ones at the end.

It would help us out mentaly if he can start making the early kicks.

The one thing that I will say is this. He is an improvement over the old guys of old. We would have lost the first Packer game and the Giants game with the kicking crew we had the last 3 years.

But before I will call him clutch, he has to prove himself worthy. That means he needs to make the easy ones also. Every kick is a clutch kick in football. When you get that close, you can't afford to give up 3 points.

Huge is doing alright, but........Edinger is doing as good. 66.7 percent for both??

The glaring stat of Edi's is the 1 of 5 from 30-39yds.
