Hey guys, I was gone for the weekend but I still got to see our game. Man, we had them buried and then almost handed them the game. A win is a win, but how can we expect to close out good teams if we cant close out the Bears or the Texans?!! The Pats' record setter should be used by Tice as an example to show that a team needs to play hard, never let up, and take one game just as serious as another. I liked our D in the beginning, I felt like we were really gelling, but then we collapsed at the end. I personally think it is Cotrell's fault...I dont think we blitzed one time in the 2nd half. Every time we blitz, we get nice pressure on the QB and force bad passes or sacks. Whenever we sit back and play prevent, we get roasted for 20 yard chunks at a time. We need to bring the heat and bring it often, much like Jim Johnson of the Eagles does. What do you guys think our problem on D is?

Linebacking core is a mess right now, everybody is playing out of position and to starters are out.

Need more help yet at CB, heard the Vikes might see if Derek Ross's knee is doing better and bring him in for a look.

Need to get more pressure early in the game and make the QB for the other team nervous and hopefully make mistakes.

Need to intercept passes when the are right in our hands (about 4 times this season already guys could have made easy interceptions and dropped the ball).

I think a good part of it has to do with play calling though. We had the Texans beat 21-0 and all of a sudden, we started playing cautious defense and were not bringing the pressure. Carr was free to unload to Johnson whenever he wanted to and it caused us. We need to blitz more!!
