Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams got a day off to rest his knees Wednesday, which is noteworthy mainly because it marked his first missed practice of the offseason.

Re: Skipping practices not a Pat Williams goal
And his take on Winfield; he's just ol school:
"It doesn't make any difference to me," he said. "Antoine feels the way he feels, but it's no distraction to the team. He's a veteran. He's one of those old-school guys. Like a lot of old guys, if you're a veteran in this league, they want to do their own thing during the offseason. That's all around the league, so nobody's mad at
him. He's doing his own thing, and when it's time for training camp, he's going to come in in shape and ready to go for us."
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- Pat Williams doesn't plan on missing any part of training camp this summer, not for any reason.

Re: Pat Williams wants to build off big season with Vikes
It doesn't look to me like Winfield is getting any traction on his one-man show of displeasure with the Vikes. Other articles say how much other players look up to him but he is losing in this battle and if his attitude doesn't change, I see him gone next year.

On a seperate tact than just looking at Winfield and his efforts.......... :

Seems this TEAM is sure working well together.
Of course most of the responses are probably painted with a positive spin, however, it is sure good to see stuff like "on the same page" , working hard together kinds of stuff in all the articles instead of all the "Love Boat", "Stair Way Love", "Speeding/DUI" kinds of things.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm looking forward to watching Phat Pat play this year again.
It sounds like he's bringing more intensity with him into the game this year. Hopefully the younger players will feed off of that & play with more intensity as well.
I'd love to see the "Buddah Belly Rub" become a regular occurrence.
