    How do you figure that?

If the NFL had a case it would of been over and done with over a year ago.

Pat will be back. He just probably feels like crap after the game yesterday.

And if I remember correctly Bobby Wade said on the radio before he got cut that he borrowed Pat Williams some money. So the paychecks probably look good to him too with his career winding down.

I think he will be back.

I really hope we get at least one more year out of him.

As for the suspension talk ... it is not going to happen at this point. Much less a "good chance" is a little overboard I think.

That little article you posted is from frickin August.

Pat will be back, will miss about 3-4 games to lick wounds here or there ... and will help guide us to another division crown, and hopefully more.

The NFL is most likely going to try to take the case to the Supreme court in 2010.

Who knows what will happen but it's far from over. Here is an article from a month ago.

This is nothing in that article that indicates it will "likely" lead to a suspension.

There is no real reason to think it will happen at this point.

Well I guess you base you viewpoint on different facts than I do.

First there was NO WAY a MN court was going to vote to let the NFL suspend the Williams' in December of the best season the team has had in a decade.

The NFL is not going to back down so this will be settled in the Supreme court which won't have the favortism a MN court had.

Maybe "Likely" was a bad word at this point but if you think the NFL is backing off ( especially with the Williams' sueing the League) then you are in for a surprise as this is FAR from over

And if you think the US Supreme Court will decide a case that they are under no obligation to take at all before the end of 2010 season, you're being foolish.

If Favre comes back, and I think he will, I'm positive he'll convince Pat to come back too. He knows as well as the rest of us do that the defense really needs Pat's emotional leadership.

    Favre/Williams Package Deal

Personally, the only way I see Pat coming back is if Favre does. I think Pat loved Favre while he was here and if Favre returns, Pat could see us having another great season. Therefore, I think in that situation he would return for one more year and we could draft a young DT (or potentially look at a DT later, and have Kennedy replace him for a couple years) and QB to eventually replace Pat and Favre. If Favre leaves though, I think Pat is done as we will clearly have taken a step back.
