Thread: Pat Williams cleared by doctors to play on Sunday

The importance of the running game to the Eagles is underestimated.
They've averaged 150+ yards in wins and less than 80 yards in losses.
Shutting down the run would be big.
Pat will help a lot in that area.
Hopefully Edwards will be back too to aid in the pass rush.

Great news.
The Eagles don't really run up the middle a lot, but having Pat will keep double teams off of Kevin and Jared so that in itself will help.

I won't be too harsh on the D without Pat because they only played the two best running offenses in Pat's absence. While they didn't snuff the run out altogether, they prevented the ATL and NYG running games from dominating the game. Kudos for that.

Getting Pat back will also free up Kevin and Allen from a few double teams. Neither of them had any impact against ATL or NYG.

The key to Philly is to contain Westbrook in the passing game. How you do that is beyond me. Play Nickel with a CB (instead of LB) covering him all day long?

Perhaps a bit out of the box.....but maybe take a safety like Madieu and have him spy on Westbrook the entire game.....leave Sharp and Tyrell as your safetys.
Put Madieu up near the line and get slow a$$ Nap Harris out of the game!

Hmm, that might be a good idea.
Initially I thought Tyrell Johnson should cover Westbrook but then I thought about how his athleticism would help against the speed that D-Jackson has.


Who would you guys rather have shadow DeSaun Jackson(s) side, Madieu Williams, Darren Sharper, or Tyrell Johnson?

I hope he needs another week to rest. None of our backs really pound it up the gut, West runs up the middle but shifts and kicks it outside a lot. Not looking forward to seeing Pat in there.

Robison is strictly a situational guy

Even last game coming in fresh he got man handled

This will be huge ... if you look at McNabb .... rattle him and the Eagles loose ... if Pat is in and Allen and his namesake can have at McNabb, and fluster him, we will win no matter what Westbrook does ... it will help if we press the receivers and throw the timing off as well ...
