    Loved that play.
It is a shame that a lot of people don't remember some of the great Vikings plays from the old Met days...

(BTW, what a POS the old met was... look at the horrible seating configuration!)

lol... well, it was built as a minor league baseball park initially.
Gotta love sitting 30 yards away from the field.

I would have to say the moon over green bay.....hearing every packer fan saying "oh yeah the vikings aren't gonna win the wildcard match-up. That was a great game to kick back and enjoy.

Re: Past or Present: What is your Vikings TD memory

Here's one for which I cannot find a YouTube clip.

    http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/198711260dal.htm

    Thanksgiving game, in Dallas.
Darrin Nelson take the ball 24 yards for a TD in OT, bouncing off of several tacklers along the way to win the game.
I have this on video tape at home, but I think the video is so old now (22 years old) that it no longer works.

Here's the best description I can find on the .net for this game (a FABULOUS game of football where the right team won in the end - 24 total points scored in the 4th quarter):

    http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/news.cfm?id=EF2AC3A0-9713-E800-873ED4A83C731CF0

Nov. 26, 1987: Minnesota 44, Dallas 38 (OT) - One of the more entertaining holiday tilts, White finished this overtime loss with 341 yards, four TD passes and three interceptions while Minnesota WR Anthony Carter was unstoppable with eight catches for 184 yards and two scores. White threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to Mike Renfro to force overtime.

Re: Past or Present: What is your Vikings TD memory

My two most favorite catches ever, came from the same reciever...SAMMY WHITE..

I remeber he almost got killed with a hit, but held on, in the Vikings/Raiders super bowl.

Also, he made a circus catch one time, falling backwards into the endzone and the ball got tipped up 3 times by him and others, ended up in sammys hands....God he was a little spark plug of a player...

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.
