Is Palmer's injury worse than that of Culpepper?
I realize Cupepper tore three ligaments and Palmer two....but palmer also suffered a dislocated knee cap among other damage. Its interesting how Palmer's injury is more "public" than Culpepper's.....thoughts?

I wouldn't say it is more public. There are very few NFL fans in the world that doesn't know about Culpepper's injury. Palmer's just happened in the playoffs and more people were aware of it immediately and it was more recent. I feel bad for both of them. Hopefully the will both recover.

The fact that Palmer's MCL was "shredded" could make it worse. A clean tear is obviously better than something being shredded.

I think Daunte's was way worse. He basically tore everything there is to tear in your knee. Palmer just tore one ligament.

palmer tore 2 ligaments, and disslocated his knee cap which resulted in damaging his cartilage and connective tissue. The ligaments palmer tore were shredded though and not just torn. I'm not really sure the extent of culpepper's injury, but i assume it will take them about the same time to recover from both.

Both sound extremely painful. I hope they both have a speedy recovery and get back up to their past performances

Thanks Josdin

Re: Is Palmer's injury worse than that of Culpepper?
They both sounded brutal, and I wish them both speedy and successful recoveries. It would be really REALLY unfortunate if their careers are affected by the injury - there are two many players in sports who are never the same when they come back from serious injuries of this sort. I like both of these guys and respect them as athletes (obviously Pep moreso), and here's to them coming back unaffected.

Thanks PPE for the sig.

Re: Is Palmer's injury worse than that of Culpepper?
Both are in terrible condition ... but it is common thought that Palmer will be back for opening day in 06, while the reports on Culpepper still have not happened because noone knows when he will be back ... he could still miss all of next season ... Both will make solid recoveries because that is what great athletes do (see Terry Allen and Willis McGahee) ...
