Packers, Vikings build their rosters differently

    http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/...rstitial.shtml

    Marrdro's comment follows:
Sometimes I just have to giggle.

A good team builds through the draft, resigns key Vets and plugs holes with FA when you can't do either of the first two.

Do we have alot of FA on this team.
I would have to say that we probably aren't as agressive as the author, but hey, one would think we would have to fill/fix holes in some areas were we messed up in the draft.

On a side note, my giggle by the way, is more towards the guys on this site who claimed this offseason as one of the worst.
In thier defense that was before LNAD the Vuking showed up.
Wonder if they want to recant those claims.
    ;D

Re: Packers, Vikings build their rosters differently

Overall the article doesn't really match up with the title.
    Nothing introspective and very packercentric.
Big surprise, still beats reading anything written by Tom Powers.

...The Vikings, on the other hand, have been far more active and have made some head-scratching signings of substantial cost. But they’ve managed their salary cap well enough to not put future seasons in jeopardy despite eating the costs when some players have flamed out...
Wow, guess that kinda ruins the dig on the Vikings doesn't it?
Again, Brzezinski, mvp of the Vikings in the cap era.

People will always biatch about lack of offseason improvements.
That goes for any team in the league, probably no matter who is picked up through the draft or FA.
Obviously there are exceptions to the rule but for the most part...
