Re: A.P or C.T. when the game is on the line?

Just to throw it out there ... Chester fumbles every 49.8 times he touches the ball (since in Minn.) and Adrian every 48.4 touches. Pretty similar ... and both too high. Matt Forte has only 1 fumble in 274 touches this season for example.

To be honest, when I am watching the game on TV I can't tell when Taylor is running the ball instead of Peterson. Although I have to give a slight edge to Peterson I think Chester is just as capable a running back and would definitely be a number one back on any team. Let's not forget that 95 yard run for a TD against Seattle last year. I am just glad that we have them both to back each other up.
You mean two years ago, and i can easily tell the difference because Adrian has this little move he does when he gets the ball, I dont know if you guys know what i mean but he usually gets 2 hard yards or 25 awesome yards.
But I could see where your getting at.

First ... that run was TWO years ago. And if he is a No. 1 RB on ANY team then how come he has only be the No. 1 running back on a team ONCE in his entire 7 year career?
He is a good running back ... would probably be the number one guy on a handful of teams ... but no more than that. He would not be the No. 1 guy in Miami, Buffalo, S.D., K.C., Baltimore, Tennessee, Indy, Houston, Jacksonville, NY. Gi., Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia, S.F., St.L, Chi., Carolina or Atlanta. And of the others, a few of them he would split time at best.
He would start hands down on a few teams in the league. He is a solid spell guy or No. 2 ... Chester cannot, nor has he ever ... carried an offense over the course of a season.
I definitely love having him here ... but he is not EVEN CLOSE to All Day's level ... not even close. Take your purple blinders off and desire to say we have two of the best backs in the league because all you have to do is ask people who are not Vikes' fans and thus have somewhat objective opinions. Chester is a great No. 2 ... Adrian is the man.

because he was backing up one of the best runningbacks in the league at the time.
came here for a chance to start, did well, then we got another one of the best runningbacks in the league to push him down the depth chart.

If I were to count the teams, he could start on 17 teams in the league, those being: NE, NYJ, BAL, CIN, CLE, PIT, HOU, DEN, OAK, DET, GB, NO, TB, ARI, STL, SF, SEA.
No one's saying he's as good as AD, because that is just a retarded statement.
AD is a top RB in the league.

Chester cannot, nor has he ever ... carried an offense over the course of a season.
except for two years ago, when he had over 300 carries with TJ at QB.

you won't know how good Chester is unless you watch the vikings.

Do you ever notice that the announcers always praice Chester during hte games, saying how good he is and how he could start on lots of teams.
Its the exact same as Michael Turner.
he sat behind the best RB in the league, even though he is very capable of starting (top 5 in rush yards i do believe)

when he started for us, he had the 9th best rushing yards in the league, which tells me he was the 9th best runningback in the league.

How many fumbles did peterson lose today?

    0.

When taylor is in they dont put 8 or 9 in the box, when AP is in they only concentrate on him running.

If AP was on the cowboys, giants, or teams with an amazing qb, then hed been a easy 2,000 yard rusher.
you can't argue how many fumbles he lost, that stat is pure luck.
We were lucky that ball bounced out of bounds, and we were lucky that he jumped on the bad handoff.
I forget the third one, but we were lucky then too.
It coud just as easilly be recovered by the other team
not really, because I can make an argument that its lucky that he lost the ball, one way or another if the game is on the line, running backs usually dont get the ball.
Unless of course you have a runningback capable of catching passes and converting critical first downs.

Who I would take depends on the situation.
If are down and need to pass or its third down Chester is the obvious choice

I don't mind either when the game is on the line.
    They are both capable backs.

I do like CT a lot still.
That open field move today was slicker than 2 eels fucken!

    I Bleed Purple,
I must agree. I think Chester could easily start for any of the teams you mentioned above. The guy had the bad luck to be behind J. Lewis in Baltimore, and when given a shot has proved he can be the man. As I mentioned before he is not at AP's level but there is no letdown when he comes into the game, and I apologize for mistaking when he got that 95 yard TD run against Seattle. Last year it was an 84 yard TD run against San Fran. Guess I have to take those purple blinders off there midgensa....

I can't believe this even exists.

    You put your gamer in.
    Done.

Next some yahoos will be wanting AP, the NFL's leading rusher, to be traded for some exotic package of something that will have them humping the watermelon in mom's fridge.

You know, cause all smart teams trade their superfreak RBs.

Were talking about Chester Taylor here, not Brian Westbrook.
