yeah, Im just sick of ppl hating on any of our rbs because they all are talented players. Even if we got Alexander or Edgerin James it wouldnt matter a whole lot because the holes are simply not there.

I hold nothing against Smith for walking. He was still healthy and didn't want to spend the rest of his life with bad knees. Smart move, made his coin and walked away. Speaking of Smith (I like old news)....

The Star Tribune reports former Minnesota Vikings RB Robert Smith signed a one-year contract this week with ESPN that contains an option for another year, which can be exercised by the network. Smith's initial focus will be college football. He will be on ESPNews Thursday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 1 and also could contribute to "College Game Day" from the network's studios in Bristol, Conn.

IMO I think Robert Smith was a much better back than Bennett or O Smith or anyone else we have had in a long time. Robert is no HOF RB but he is a tier above what we have now. Clearly he had a much better supporting cast but he was one of the smartest running backs around. You never saw him miss a hole, screw up a pattern and he always picked up his blocks. Not to mention had rarely fumbled. just my opinion but id take another Robert Smith anyday over our current RB's.

he isnt close to being as fast as benett, strong as onterrio and cant cut like moore, so to me, this guy doesnt exist.

What does that have to do with him being a f***ing idiot?

Walter Payton was small and not very fast either. Did he exist?

im saying why ALL OF THE SUDDEN leave when things are going down. It just seemed like he "lost a love for the game" after he knew we werent going to be an elite team anymore.
