Instead of you guys being sarcastic like middle schoolers, please indulge me with why Tice/Cottrell would not be better than what we currently have? Because the numbers are in the formers favor

I was serious. I think Denny Green put together one of the best rosters we have ever had. He might have had troubles with running the sidelines but he assembled a hell of a good group of players. For those wanting a better Ol just think what we had for an OL when he was the HC. And to back that up look at the talent he put together at Arizona. There were consistently one of the worst teams in the league until he got there but he put together a real solid roster. he couldn't coach them up though and it cost him his job but that core went to a SB.

Cottrell was an idiot. One of the worst defensive coaches we ever had.

Have you forgotten how many times we scored more than 27 points or more & lost games because of his defense?

Have you forgotten how Winfield complained to Tice that Cottrell's playbook was too complicated & it handcuffed our DB's?

Did you also forget how Tice took that playbook & tore several pages out of it & gave it back to Cottrell then started getting more involved on the defensive side.

Cottrell's defense ranked 26th for points given up in 2004. In 2005 we moved up to 21st. The improvement was due to what Tice did, not Cottrell.

Nope, Winfield & I don't miss Cottrell at all.

Yeah, I was no fan of Cottrell. He ranked right up there with Foge Fazio for the worst.

I would love to see a Floyd Peters clone to coach our defense though. I feel he was our best DC ever.

Perhaps he can snag a new pic from the upcoming sequel.

Haha, oh man... that was a greart sig. Wish I could find that one.

I think Jos made it for me, I could be wrong though.
