    Our next year WR´s

We have talked a lot here about our Qb situation for next season,Mcnabb ,push for Anderson ,draft a Qb etc...
I d like starting a discussion about another weak aspect in the Vikes, our WR roster.Last
week we haven´t talked too much of it ,debt mainly to the W against SD and the great performance by Rice..

IMO the Receivers´situation is a big problem for us,,we have many cut players or inexperienced ones that ranked us 30 th on pass yards avg.,I know this could be debt to our playbook, but the % on completed passes is not much better....

Therefore, what would you do If you were the GM for next season? which players would you cut? try on FA or draft some rookie talent or both? do you have any specific Receiver in mind for 08?

    Share your opinions.

Is there a list of the 2008 Free Agents yet?

We are only halfway through the 2007.
Way to early to be looking at any facet of our 2008 team.
There is a lot of football left to be played.

If Childress is still around next season, the best place to look for any future Vikings would probably be here.

I think we need to play the 2nd have of the season first to see how are receivers do before speculating on who we should get for a WR next season.

Most of our receivers are young/new/learning the Vikings system.

I still don't think the WR's are that bad. Face it we haven't had the most accurate QB's lately. Plus we still have crappy play calling for the aerial attack.

    I agree.
I'd like to see if Allison can develop.
Love Rice (prefer Basmati vs Jasmine, or Minnesota Wild Rice
;D), Wade can play a role.
    Shiancoe has been improving.
Only 8 games into '07 with a very young WR core and marginal, at best, QB play.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

    Thanks for the link, singer.
Looks pretty bleak in FA, though.
I agree with some of the others here in regards to Allison...I'd like to see him get some more opportunities.

    Re: Our next year WR´s

What I think would be a great move is to pick up someone like Michael Turner and have a great 1-2 punch RB crew.
They can trade Chester Taylor (as much as I like the guy) for maybe a decent QB somewhere.
Possibly work out a deal for Derek Anderson.
I'm sure they'd rather get someone proven RB then have to pay a 2nd QB that high.
Anderson is a RFA so there will have to be a big paycheck to keep him.
I wouldn't mind getting someone like Patrick Crayton as a FA.
    I like Rice and Allison.
TWill is doing a decent job this year.
But Crayton will add that proven deep threat that teams will have to respect.
Think about having a QB like Anderson that can hit his WRs.
    That alone would be big.
Then adding good WR would improve the offense dramatically.
People will not be able to key on Peterson (or Turner).

IMO that would be a dream offseason.
