Even if there was only one person on the D-line that person should be paid more then the entire offensive line.
I don' t know... after last year I have come to appreciate what a good offensive line, or more importantly, a bad offensive line can mean for your team. Even the best defensive line in the world will get tired and break down if their offense keeps going three and out.
I agree Nodak... It will be exciting to see what the Vikes offense can do behind a solid line. Especially with an ageing quarterback and an emerging running game.

    F'n' pot stirrer.

By default alone the D-line should get paid more, just by merely exsisting they should get more green. They are smarter, stronger, more athletic, and generally more agreeable people then O-lineman.

Del weren't you a D-lineman? Could that be creating just a slight bias?
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Maybe, then again that could just be me being generally more agreeable.

The figures will go up a large amount when people like McKinnie get bigger contracts. This is only base salary keep in mind.

    Re: Our Money

As faninphx already stated, it would be interesting to see a comparison with other NFL teams.

I'd like to see how they crunched these numbers. Because I don't see how the backfields pay can be less then 3 million when Chester Taylor is getting 3.5 million a year all by himself.

Something is wrong with the figures or the person doing them.

    Re: Our Money

I wouldn't be surprised if Brad Johnson's contract is renegotiated as well. He was hired as a backup for backup pay. He is now the head of the team and the starting QB, he should be paid accordingly.

If Childress and Wilf plan on using him as the starter they need to give him starter money, if they don't that will reflect heavily on my impression of the character of our new ownership/coaching.

Well, there's no link to the #s so I'm not sure how to double check them without using my infiltration abilities at Winter Park.
