Our Billion -Dollar O-line
Run blocking looked awesome again yeterday. Pass protection sucked. Johnson got hammered all day. Must we become more of a running team or a quick-hitter passing team?

peppers really worked that right side all day long.
they'll start molding soon enough."The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanist bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!"----Eleanor Roosevelt

Re: Our Billion -Dollar O-line
I look at it a different way, Carolina's D-line is amazing, they "only" got 5 sacks!
It could have been much much worse."Johnson, we will keep on beating them until morale improves."

Until that big carry in OT, Chester was sitting there with similar stats to last week.
Bryant McKinnie seems like he doesn't even bother to block when the run is called to his side.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I say we just avoid having to play the Panthers again. I just hope I don't have to wish that about any other team that we have on our schedule for the rest of the year.
On the bright side, we have shown moxie and that goes a long ways in saying we would probably play these guys better next time.

Having watched the game and read the press conference it becomes pretty obvious that Childress dropped the ball, even he admitted as much.
He wasn't chipping Peppers, he wasn't doubling him, he was playing it straighth up, sometimes having a HB try to help to that side.
Not to say our line played great, but it is a process that needs more then two games. The coaching staff probably should have run more max pro, and given more designed help.
The Panthers are used to playing people who do three step drops, who hand the ball off, because you wait too many more seconds and you get peppered. In order to get them to spread out a bit and loosen up you need to take them deep. I think The Vikings were trying to do just that.
Bears are the same way. Plus they have a terrific cover LB in Urlacher. So look for more of the same. Trying to get the deep ball going to loosen up our bread and butter short yardage game going.
The Bears have some fast ends. Going to be another hard game.

This will be another fun game to watch if you like the line battles.
Billion dollar line?
I think it's $100M, big difference.
A person that is a billion seconds old is ~32 years old and a person that is a million seconds old is ~3 months old.

Del - Always make it sound so obvious, why cant you be on Fox's NFL Pre-Game, instead of Joe Buck, makes me want to vomit everytime i hear him speak.
