Re: Is Opening In Green Bay a Good Thing for the Vikings?
well it's definitely not the worse scenario to open your season.
like in new england or something.
aaron rogers first start, against a division rival, in front of all his home fans replacing a legend on monday night football.
he might have been better off starting on the road at first cuz i think the pressure at home may be too immense.
either way i dont wanna see ryan grant going anywhere.
after watching him rack up 100 yards in the first half last year in green bay i officially put him on my hate list.
i want him to be in the minuses.
but that's a huge game to start the year cuz we all know that the road to winning your division is beating your divison.
green bay and chicago have both did that during the latest division runs.
we gotta take care of business inside the division and it starts week one.
payback for that humiliating loss last year that had me ready to fire childress that week."self improvement's masturbation.
now self destruction" that's enlightenment

Re: Is Opening In Green Bay a Good Thing for the Vikings?
This is a huge freaking game for both sides and I am sure they will all be all fired up!
New QB in GB trying to get off on the good foot.
Young QB with (most likely) a young, questionable LT protecting his blind side for us.
Some game tape on Rodgers would be nice, but getting him in the first game that matters might be better.
And, then there is the whole not having to play there later in the year when its fully a must win game.
Hmm, come to think of it, might be an advantage that Berrian is a relative unknown too, cuz with the focus on Adrian, I'm pretty sure BB'll be as open as TWill at times and with a much better catch average.
I'm hoping for some defensive domination forcing the new QB into mistakes and us running it down their throats with steady heavy doses of AP, CT and a little Hicks and Tapah too.
Payback Biotches!!!Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: Is Opening In Green Bay a Good Thing for the Vikings?
I don't see how opening the season in Lamblow is a good thing for the Vikings.
We, along with most teams struggle there and a home opener is going to make things that much more difficult.
With that said, I can't think of a more exciting season opener than this...Looking forward to this game and am strongly considering shelling out a few hundred bucks to attend.
Might have to scrap the plans of going to the Tennessee game however.
Anybody else planning on going?

I'd love to go to that game, but I just don't see myself spending that much money to go to Wisconsin. Maybe though.

I would rather play them on a warm day, were Rodgers might be easily shaken and we have a healthy tream.
Not to mention the good point someone else made on game tape (or lack thereof).

The HoF is cool, and club seats look nice, but most people have to sit on crappy bleachers like a damn high school stadium.

Then we still get decent weather but don't have to play in that place for their home opener.
