If the Vikings have a good showing and win against the Packers on MNF, it will help generate more excitement for the Vikings.
More excitement means => ticket sales => more sellouts => louder crowds => higher moral for the team
Fans, IMHO, help drive the energy in a game, and does have an impact.

This is one of the reasons I love football.
One game means a lot, especially against a division opponent.
Not like in baseball, hockey, or basketball.Rosie O'Donnell is a dude!

I think you are overstating this game. It will be a great measure of where we are as a team. I can't wait to see Jared Allen on the field!

For two young QB's that still need to prove themselves:
Rodgers that he, although not truely replace Farve, will not hurt the team.
TJ, although he's solid as the Vikes starter, still needs to win a BIG game and at GB MNF is a BIG game.
I think it's crucial to their confidence for the season.

The team will grow game by game, the performances of players will be incidents....Rosie O'Donnell is a dude!

How can it not be. We have lost 4 straight games to the Pack. If we can not win this game, thats a pretty good indicator that we are not yet ready to be division champs. If we win this game, it will be a pretty good indicator that we have begun to turn the corner.
Botton line....If you can't beat the best, then you can't be the best!

Game 1 is against an NFC division rival.
Game 2 is against an AFC team.
A win in game 1 and a loss in game 2 is preferable to a loss in game 1 and a win in game 2 (even though I do NOT want to lose our home opener).
Of course, [s]if[/s] when we win them both it won't matter.Zeus wrote:

Not only from a logistical and statistic standpoint, but in your argument as far as confidence and all the invariables.
No offense to the number and stat crunching fans, but if you don't factor in the invariables, you are only factoring half of the sport.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(
