The notion that Adrian Peterson can't or shouldn't run the ball against eight- or nine-man defensive fronts has been proven faulty at times during the running back's five seasons with the Vikings.
What is stopping him is the fact that were are not converting 3rd downs in the second half. We start to do that and it changes everything. but right now the offense needs to be more diverse in the first 3 plays of any drive both to get everyone involved and also to make the team harder to scheme ( isn't that what everyone is bitching about?). Start to move the chains and his reps will increase and the whole offense will start to click. But in order for that to happen we are going to have to pass just as much as were are now, just start to connect on a few.
I suspect against KC we will do better than we have so far.
