Only time will tell if Jared Allen trade was worth the cost

Only time will tell if Jared Allen trade was worth the cost to Minnesota Vikings

Acquisition looks like a Vikings coup, but it's too soon to issue a verdict

In spite of his ouster from the Kansas City Chiefs in January, former coach Herman Edwards is still uneasy about the decision to trade defensive end Jared Allen last offseason....

The early advantage, though, goes to the Vikings.
I would say so too...and also the late advantage.

"Those guys don't grow on trees," Edwards said, referring to pass rushers.

Only time will tell huh?
:
Not even gonna read this one.
I think he had enough time/productin last year to justify the cost.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I think the question is more on the Chief's side... for all we know the Chief's got 3 future Pro-Bowlers by trading us 1.

From our side, we got what we wanted, a guaranteed impact player at DE.
We sacrificed a bit in the draft to address what we were going to anyway and guaranteed success.

Excellent point on the Chiefs my friend.
Problem for me is I am in a pissy mood for some reason and don't give a squat about the Chiefs.

If Herschel Walker had won 3 rushing titles and led the Vikings to a Super Bowl win, would that trade look better in 2009?

That's the point of the article.

This is a no brainer, it's already been a great trade for the Vikes. Hopefully Allen will pay off for the next five or six years!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I made it through Highschool, 10 or so service schools.
I have no problem figuring out the point of the article.
Again, I am pissed at the local media today.
Doesn't really matter what thier point is when I get like this.

Long story short, they could right a piece that wins a award or something and I would still have something negative to say about it.

Well Mar, don't do any reading today.
Especially this one

Unlike the movie, the book has the Super Bowl in Denver with a game between the Vikings and the Broncos.

Nice, our one chance to mark a SB win and he blows everything up. >
