Im sure that won't be happening again after seeing him knock it in at the end. Childress is a puss that's why. I do have to give him credit, he coached a good game today.

To answer our overseas friends question........
    No need to.
D was playing well, pin them deep, make them fight thier way out of it.
Much better option than kicking it, missing it, and giving them the ball in relatively good field position and possibly turning the tide of the game.

A great win for the Vikes but T-Jack only had 3 good throws.

I am still not sold on that cat.
only 3 good throws???????? he had like 4 perfect passes that where all dropped.... he played very well

I hear ya my friend but think on this......

It was only his 5th start.
He had a two week layoff.
A bit of rust if at all possible.
He was smart with the ball.
Its TJ's job to throw to the WR's.
They are supposed to catch them. Our WR's had chances to catch balls all day.

He has a pretty Raw supporting cast when it comes to WR's.
Our OL played better today, but he still got pressured a bit.
    Handled that well.
He wanted to run a couple of times and probably should have, except, .......
Can you say, re-injury to groin?

This team along with him will evolve.
Soon we will see great things out of him.
Until then, I just want him to play like he did today as well as during the Atlanta game.

    ;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I thought that the QB-WR combinations were pretty bad today, actually.
Lots of balls thrown either ahead of or behind our WR's...with a couple thrown at the knees.
He one one BEAUTIFUL toss (Obviously the one to Williamson that hit in stride) today, but for the most part I thought he was a bit wild with the ball.
That doesn't change the fact that many of those balls were catchable...our drops today were pretty frustrating.

    THANK GOD FOR ADRIAN PETERSON!!!!!
The kid was red hot and really tore up the Chicago defense.

Our pass D almost gave it away (rotten looks directed towards the D-Coordinator for not being able to stop the pass), but Peterson and Longwell pulled it out.

And, in the end, this game doesn't prove that Childress is a good coach, it simnply proves that AP was the right choice in the draft, and that he is on pace to turn the NFL on its ear this season.
If any of us were uncertain before, I think we can all confidently state that AP is the real deal, and is worthy of building a franchise around.

Nice O-line play today...would've liked a better performance from the D-Line, but we'll take it.

And, best of all, a win I wasn't counting on.
    That's always a pleasant suprise.

Re: One of the best games ever?

From the outside looking in you would have to say an absolutely great game. A couple of outstanding individual performances ... A few deep passes for TDs ... two spectacular long running plays from a rookie back ... a punt return for a TD ... a 14 pt-comeback in lesss than five minutes ... a long kick return to set up a 55-yard field goal to win a great game.
As a Vikes fan though ... we had a 14 point lead with 4:08 to go and had to kick a last second field goal to win? Kind of frustrating. No matter how spectacular Devin Hester is that 81-yard TD is absolutely unexcusable. But I will take the win ... and take Adrian Peterson's unbelievable performance to heart and shrug off the blown lead.

you know.. there are timing issues still to be iron'd out.. some of those drops were lofted or overthrown balls, some were catchable..

all in all the best thing about Tjack's perfomance and i havn't seen any1 mention it here.

    1 TD vs 0 INT's
    and 0 fumbles!!!!

    (btw notice fumblepepper??)

don't worry Tjack is growing, learning and dso is the WR corpse to his style arm and ball speed..
did u see how FAST that ball was movin on some of those slants?
    finger breaking material!!

as for the game bein one of the best.. Dad and i were talkin bout that last nite, he said..
"I enjoyed watching AP as much as I did watching Chucky tear up the bears. a great game that never should have been that close."

bout sums it up for me (cept i don't remember '76, as i was 2)
