that hit should have been fined whether frerotte was faking or not. (i still believe he wasnt)

and seriously? allen gets fined for THAT?

    wow.

i smell a strike in the air. with all the suspensions fines, inconsistency by the front offce and crappy cba the nflpa agreed to, i dont think its far fetched to think so.
he used the ball as a prop, just because he's a viking doesn't mean the rules shouldn't apply to him.
TO gets fined for that, Chad Johnson gets fined for that, its no different.
oh i know, its just ridiculous. and what about the jumping on the pile? i dont remember that one, are they reaching?
and a horsecollar tackle is 7,500 which could potentially end someones career

yep, the whole fining system in the nfl is fucked.
If using the ball as a prop is worth 10K, then some of the late hits by Allen should be worth a mil.
horsecollars should be worth 50k, and just fines in general should go up.
If you really want to send a message, don't fine someone something that they can easilly pay with "Straight Cash" and "for 10K maybe next time i'll shake my dick"
even the players think that some of the fines are jokes.

I had thought that Ogluneye was going to suspended but it was taking awhile because of the plax and suspension mess but that was way off.
The old commish was just taking his time trying to figure out a way to hose the vikes..
How is that hit not a fine?
Allen deserved his tusing props to celebrate is a no no.

The Commish prob sitting in his office thinking well they wanna fight their suspensions...I'll just tell the refs to look away and someone can take a cheapshot at AD..that will fix them!
I know way out there but I wouldn't be surprised either.

Allen's fine is legit. Its the rule and I would expect the rule to be enforced. Whether or not I agree with the rule is another story.

But I don't care whether or not Frerotte faked it.. it was a late hit and should be treated as such.

Ok....so the NO FUN LEAGUE strikes again....
Hey, its the rule (no props)....I get it.
Personally.....I really am not sure what the purpose of it is.
Does it really slow down the game that much to give CPR to a ball?
    Whatever......

On the flip side.....when is the STUPID Lamblow Leap going to fall under the same banned celebration list?
Why does IT continue to get a pass from the NO FUN LEAGUE?
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

    WTF?!
Ah, crap...I think the league is trying all they can (little by little...like paper cuts) to get the team to move to LA.
    Screw that!

What about spiking the ball over the goal post, isn't the goal post(used like a basketball rim) technically used as a prop as well? I think so. ???

    How does this happen?

I really can't wrap my head around how this one gets by without a fine.

Re: Ogluneye Not fined For late Hit On Frerotte,Allen Fined....

Eh ... I personally think the hit on Frerotte should have been a penalty ... but Gus CLEARLY flopped ... and it clearly was not that hard of a hit.
I do not mind it not getting fined ... I also don't mind Allen getting fined since he BLATANTLY used the football as a prop ... something a handful of guys have been fined for before (some more than a couple of times). If the others get fined he deserves it too.
The lack of a penalty on the late hit bothers me a lot ... and I guess the way they are fining people it probably should have gotten a little money ... but all in all I don't really give a rats ass.
Does not affect my pocketbook ... would not have affected Ogunlye's pocketbook anyways ... and does not affect the rest of the Vikes season.
