I wouldn't mind that either. This team needs a good hard nosed coach. Shannon was terrible.

Looks like today is a good indicator that we have a coach who will last a long time.

Earlier in this thread you were asking if the Jets coach had a brother. Talk about 2 distinct personalities. Any Ryan and Leslie Frazier.

I will reserve judgement on the job Frazier does as I see the season progress.

One game does not a season/coach/player make.

The team did a 180 today in every way.

    And they won.

    I'd say that's significant.

Winning is how coaches keep their jobs.

As was stated earlier, one game does not make a coach. The main difference in the Washington game is there were NO turnovers. Other than that, it's not like they lit anything on fire. The defense played well. The offense did okay. The defense seems to play pretty well when the offense doesn't turn the ball over. That's nothing new.

After 1 game? I hope you are smarter than that.

At least wait until the season plays out to see what happens.

As to who ultimately ends up being the coach- I don't want to just bring in a guy because he is a great defensive or offensive mind, I want to see them bring in a guy who chooses a great offensive coordinator and a great defensive coordinator(Along with ST's etc) and then lets them do their job while he oversees the sum of their work.

IMHO the best head coach would be one who doesn't micro-manage every aspect of any part of the team but macro-manages all parts of the entire team.

Just put great people in a position to do a great job and don't get in the way.
    +1
and thats the part people seem to forget about HC. Yes ultimately it's your decision but if you have good a good OC and DC then you should trust them to cover their respective areas. Too many HCs want to interfere and ultimately cause far more problems than the opposition.
That only works if you have an owner who doesn't play with his toys & lets his football staff make the player/personel decisions.

Why do get upset with a owner that wants to win
he pays the salaries he should get what he wants....
it gave Viking fans a great 2009 season...
it got you Childress fired ...remember your red hankies
I Like Zygi he wants a winner and he tries to get that accomplished
If you were the owner, youlld just set back and let it run itself?
hell you try to run it from a fanboard
    So lay off the Zygster

I am not about to let a Billick, Tomlin, or Dungy go again. I am not crowning him after 1 game but he is off to a damn good start. DAMN GOOD!
