Finally someone with an intelligent input. We need Taylor and Richardson back without them our offense isn't getting enough help and the gol 'darnit refs screwed us out of an important touchdown.

Re: Official Vikings vs. Chiefs Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants
richardson and chester taylor, wouldnt have made us win this game im sorry to let u know. we were beat, by a better team in which sucks. which makes our team even suckier so stop being a homer, and realize that we arent gonna make the playoffs for the next million years as long as we have this head coach

i hate the idea of dieing before another winning season

Re: Official Vikings vs. Chiefs Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants
LoL Marrdro. Isn't that a little harsh? Sure we have a couple of posters going overboard for what they think is the answer for the team, but a majority of the posts I have read have all pointed to the fact that we do not have an offensive line that can protect our QB, our pass defense is still lousy due to the fact that we can not pressure the QB and our secondary zones are full of holes. Also we never adjust our play calling. We played the exact same in the second half as we did in the first half. We were playing not to lose this game, not to win the game.

Thanks Josdin

Re: Official Vikings vs. Chiefs Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants
Oh my... the difference between the first and second half was night and day. When the game started, I was actually calm and at peace with the fact that Holcomb was starting. I wasn't worried and I honestly thought we would do well today. The first half was decent, and if we play like we did in the first half, I can take that. And I just have to add this because I hate refs and I don't give a gol 'darnit how tough it is to make all the right calls all the time, but when you go and review the play, it is CRITICAL to make the right call. Prime example is todays game. That TD would have made a hell of a difference. That's not to say that the Chiefs wouldn't have still won, but atleast we would have SOMETHING to give us hope.
Second half was a mess, obviously. They started attacking our weakness (I'm actually suprised at how long it took them to start passing all over us). We had them flustered and angry, we had the momentum and the confidence. How did that change so quickly? Holcomb honestly wasn't the worst QB I have ever seen. We need our recievers to step up and make big plays. But one thing I noticed is how when our O-line couldn't stop the pressure (which was...wayyyyyyyyy too often) it seemed like Holcomb didn't even feel the pressure. He just continued to take his time and didn't really try to escape the sack or anything. AD did all he could and did a great job getting over 100 yds. I REALLY hope Chester Taylor is back next week...not saying AD is not doing a good job or anything, but we need a spark on offense and if we atleast have 2 RB's, maybe we can get something going. Griffin honestly looked terrible today. I don't know what happend but this year so far I have not been impressed with him...expecially after the year he had last year, I was expecting a lot out of him.
I would like to see more out of kick returns. Last week we did well, and I was hoping to build on that. I really don't see what the logic is on running when it's 3rd and 20 (or something close to that). Play calling has been a problem for awhile now, I just hope we can get some improvement there. Shank impressed me today, hopefully he can continue to play well.
Don't give up hope yet, guys. It's going to be a rough year for sure, but hopefully we improve each week and have something to build on. Next week we play the Packers, and no matter how good or bad either team is, the rivalry has always been a good game. Have a little faith, I think this team will come around soon and suprise a lot of people.
EDIT: On a side note, Packers got a big win vs. the Chargers. Next week we have to get them early and take control. I really would love to see Farve get his INT record in the DOME!!!

Re: Official Vikings vs. Chiefs Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants
Vike68, your posts are somewhat pathetic. Having a two headed rushing attack in there would have let us run more, and Richardson blocking obviously wouldn't hurt. You can honestly think its all Childress' fault. We have 4 injured players on offense, all of which are starters. Firing Childress is not the answer, that will just leave the Vikings in more disarray then they already are. Its not Holcomb's fault either. W/o time, no QB in the NFL can have success.

Re: Official Vikings vs. Chiefs Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants
I must say that the refs did a fine job...of screwing us out of a TD by Shiancoe!
Amazingly, they did not find too many other ways of bending us over.
Therefore the refs are an improvement over week 2 against the Lions.
But our offense totally shit the bed again and I'm ready for an explosion against the Packers.
By explosion I mean somebody puts a pipe bomb in the Packers locker room and we win by forfeit.
Rock out with your cock out!!!
