The funny thing of it is, Rice had it the whole time until he got up off the carpet. The Noodlers, no matter how many times I told them to re-watch the tape, never did & never replied back.

Why? Because UFR, they saw that Rice did have the ball. Caine said the defender "had the ball solid" & Rice took it away.

Here's the video link of the play.

Here's a couple of pics from that play.

Note the ball tucked into the arm of Rice at the elbow. That's a black glove, not a red one. Just before that freeze frame, the ball hits Rice in the open palm.

The defender never had possession of that ball. He tried to take it away or rip it loose, but failed.
What does that have to do with the fact that it was under thrown?

Nothing. The video shows it for what it was...a great play by Sidney Rice. TJ through it up for grabs in double coverage and Sidney made a play. The safety actually had the best angle on the ball until Rice went over the cornerback and stole it from the safety.

In TJ's defense, Rice has shown that he can come down with the ball in tight coverage. Favre has done the same thing with Rice on many an occasion. No harm, no foul. Any other Vikings receiver out there and it probably is an INT.

Under thrown? LMAO! Rice is the closest of the 3 to the QB. Any more on it & it's picked or incomplete.

FYI, What the discussion was about was debunking Caine's claim that the defender had the ball solid & Rice took it away.

That's far from what happened. At no time did the defender have possession before a TD. When Rice got up of the turf & left the defender on the ground holding the ball, that is when the defender had the ball.

Re: The OFFICIAL Vikings vs. Bills Postgame thread

I know that a lot of people are a in need of some serious remedial work in basic English....but UNDERTHROWN would be:

    Underthrow definition

    under·throw (un?d?r t?hr??; for n. un?d?r t?hr??)

transitive verb underthrew -·threw?, underthrown -·thrown?, underthrowing -·throw?ing
to throw a ball or other object short of (the intended receiver or target)

    noun
    an underthrowing or being underthrown.
    This debate sounds vaguely familiar.
It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.
