Love the wins, but my purple shades aren't thick enough to say this is a prelude of the rest of the season. We need to get more shit up to snuff before we face a good team.Way to play this one objectively, Singer.
The road gets tougher & I hope we do as well. Favre has taking a beating by piss poor teams so far via sacks & knock downs. He's tough, but we can't have this going on every week.
Last year when I found fault with the o-line, I was laughed at. It's not so funny or an "excuse"anymore, is it?

You and I have been adament about the piss poor blocking of the oline.
I have since 2005.
At this point I would consider letting Cook play some over Herrera.
He may do better on the inside if he can keep the false starts down.
Herrera hasn't looked good at all.
In fact no one on the right side of the line has looked good.
That needs to change for Favre to stay healthy.
All in all I like their adjustments for the 2nd half.
They seem to be getting better at that.
I wasn't happy about the TO Childress called in the 4th quarter instead of challenging the spot of the ball.
Hell he was going to lose a TO if he was wrong anyway why not challenge the spot.
I thought it was a lot closer to the 1st down marker than where the ball was spotted.
What I don't see (I haven't read everything yet) is people complaining about the passing play on 4th down.
For some reason I guess because it worked no one says it was a bad call.
Yet the same calls were made last year and when they didn't work everyone wanted Childress' head.
Hats off to Greenway.
He was a stud out there yesterday.
The defense doesn't seeem as stout this year in stopping the run.
I am somewhat concerned about that.
They are 2-0 so I'm happy.
The OL needds to step up in the games against better opponents.

+1Awesome game... top to bottom. Great play calling, very balanced offensive attack. Defense stepped up after an early TD. Favre had a great game, Peterson did what he needed to do.
Not sure if anyone can find much fault with this game. Loved watching it.

I do think the OLine needs to step it up but yes I am very happy with the game in general.
Greenway was a maniac.

Harvin seems to have a nack for getting the first down. He's always good for at least 8 yards.
Awesome to see that it took 4 Detroit defenders to pull him down at one point.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I am because he's proved that he's not the ego maniac others were portraying him as... he's not forcing unnecessary throws or taking unnecessary chances... he's still handing the ball to AD a high percentage of the time, he's taking what the defense is giving away, and he's not afraid of punting the ball."C" wrote:

He had a high completion % and no INTs through 2 games... I think he's only thrown 2 passes that could have been picked off and one of those was Shank stopping his route yesterday at the goal line for some odd reason.
Assuming this team will continue to improve, continue to gel... wowza... we could be very dangerous come December and beyond. The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

Yeah, I still think he'll falter as the season wears on... but I like seeing us win big over teams we should be winning big against. If Favre keeps the throws short and Jackson takes over in the 4th, we might just have something good going here. Excited for the season, that's for sure."C" wrote:

Favre is really suprising me with his efficiency, AD is a MAN.
I was at the game, and I thought the refs were missing a lot of calls on DET earlier in the game... Anyone care to verify/debunk that for me? Obviously, I didn't get to see any replays, but live action it looked like a horse collar on AD, among other things.... I wasn't a happy camper at the time.Trying to bring rationale to an irrational site

The horse collar on Adrian was probably a good non-call imo.
I thought it was a penalty at first however I don't think the defender grabbed inside the jersey or shoulder pads.
I wondered what others thought of that.
