Favre's still not as acurate or has the timing down with the WR's as he should be on the passes down field. Don't know what he was thinking on that pick by the lineman.
Oh please. Paul Allen said it best. A QB can't be 100% accurate. The ball can be placed in the area. It is up to the WRs to make a play.

Too many times today I saw Favre hit WRs practically in the head and they still drop it.

In no way am I saying Favre is perfect but we lack playmakers at the wideout positions. Lewis, Berrian, and Baskett will never lead this team to the Super Bowl. We desperately need Rice back. I am still baffled to why Javon is not here. We screwed the pooch in not making a deal for Jackson or Housh.

Favre's problem, is he throws to spots where he expects the receiver to be, however our receivers simply aren't there.
    +1
I have been trying to say that all week. Favre is off but no to the degree that some think.

    Postives:
    1. Cook and Cedric back! WOW what a difference.
    2. Harvin is looking better. Running better routes and finding a way to get open.
    3. Defense as a whole looks very good. Especially the backup DTs.
    4. Peterson is on fire. A beast again.
5 Dugan and Kleinsasser, funny how they get open and catch the ball. I guess it is all Favre though.

    Negatives:
    1. Gerhart is not very good. We miss CT soooooo bad.
    2. Berrian and Baskett, Did I really see them drop screens? COME ON MAN!
    3. OL, Favre got hit way too many times.
    4. Penalties!
    5. Turnovers. Favre should never have thrown that screen. Not sure what happened there. The other was on the OL. Gerhart needs to hold onto that rock. Not impressed with him.

I agree......in fact, I don't see him as off much at all, especially today.

When you're getting hit as you throw and your receiver is not quite where he's supposed to be.....

Did you see that perfectly placed deep ball that was dropped? Who was that Hank?

I'm spacing out on that particular one, but I wouldn't be too hard on Baskett yet......he must be pretty confused and stressed and Favre takes some getting used to.

Re: OFFICIAL VIKES vs LIONS POSTGAME DISCUSSION

O-line besides 2 people played very well

AP.. His usual buck wild style.. Child please Lions

Favre.. When he has his targets in there he hits them.. When we have Greg lewis and Hank Baskett on the outsides and Jimmy K at TE can't expect too much.. Played well

Tahi on AP's first run made a nice block.. Otherwise didn't pay attention

WRs- Percy is our only starting WR.. Why the hell didn't we keep J-walk? I'm still upset about this.. Bring in Hank over him? Child please

D-line overrated except K-will.. I'll keep saying it

LBs.. Studs.. Best LBs in the league IMO

Secondary.. Abdullah came outta left field and had a hell of a game.. Was nice to have depth at corner.. Cook got burnt by the freak a couple times.. But not bad at all.. Made a few plays.. Griff was in there in a few as well.. Winny got a lucky pick to make it look better for us but did decent

Kluwe- Stud.. Puts the ball far and where it needs to be

Longwell- Marrdro child please.. He wasn't an issue and still isn't.. Even when we don't really need him

Coaches.. Saw Eric get into AP after his drop.. Playcalling can't blame Bevell for what he did.. Chilly.. Well he is Chilly

I think we are starting to come around. Favre wasn't off just knocked down too much and didn't have much time. I have some hope after today. The receivers need to catch the ball. The O Line needs to block. We will be OK.
