    The Official Sage Rosenfels Thread

    If this exists, I apologize.
I went back several pages and didn't see it...

But, I think Sage deserves a page too!
    ;D

You can check out gamehighlights by clicking on the score links...and other seasons by scrolling the button just below the personal tabs and above where the stats start.

At times, He makes some really, really nice, spot on, accurate throws.
That one last year to Andre Johnson between two Vikes in the corner of the endzone for example.
What I really like is how he stands tall in the pocket, even when its collapsing around him, and scans the field.
At this time, I'd say he does seem to see more of the field than Jackson.
Plays like the, "Rosencoptor," demonstrate a strong will to win...but the high number of turnovers seems to say, "gambler," too.
I think his 62.5% completion rate is pretty friggin impressive considering his limited actual on field, full speed, experience in multiple offenses.
A bit of confidence and comfort could go a long way toward cleaning up the turnover issue, and our strong defense and running game should make things easier for any QB.

At the moment, I'd say TJ has the slight lead due to time here in the playbook, speaking the language.
And, perhaps slightly, because of Jackson's ability to get a first with his feet.
But, if we don't see more, I think the word is consistency but it might be confidence, from TJ, that Sage could easily prove to be our first choice, due to his seemingly, naturaly better pocket presence.

For those who are thinking the Texans don't have talent, please note, in 2008 they had:

No.3 overall offense, 13th running game, 4th passing!
And were middle of the pack, tied with TB at 16th in sacks allowed.

Andre Johnson could very possibly be the best WR in the game, and would probably be considered that IF he had been healthy more.
In 2008 he led the NFL in receiving with 1575 yards!!
In TDs scored he tied teammate Kevin Walter and that SD TE for 9th in the league with 8.
Walter also produced 899 receiving yards.
Rookie RB Steve Slaton was 10th in rushing yards.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

"Balance it on end and thats the third side of the coin!!" -wookiefoot

Re: The Official Sage Rosenfels Thread

    Sage is growing on me.
I finally found some optimism for him.
I still would rather see Tjack succeed but frankly I don't care who is under center as long as we are winning games.

    Regarding Favre:
The poor horse has been dead for weeks...there is nothing left but bone fragments...even the smell is gone...nothing left to beat.

If anyone is intersted, Sage has his own blog and twitter feed:

    Not that I've found.
Sidney Rice and Sage are the only two active Vikings that I know are authentic.
