Life takes funny turns.
My little 6 year old Ava started cheerleading this year. 10 days ago, I wore a Vikings jersey to the local pee wee football/cheerleading fundraiser, and last week Shawna wore a Vikings t-shirt to a practice. A dad we'd talked to before walks up and asks Shawna if she's a Viking fan. Turns out he, his wife, and father-in-law are all rabid Vikings fans...the wife especially so. She even has the team script logo "Vikings" tattooed just below her neck on her back. I was planning on coming up for the home opener, but both my wife and ZDog declined to go this game. So I invited the guy to use my extra ticket if he wanted to and be my travel companion. Things grew from there and now he, his wife and I will be attending the tailgate together. The wife said she likes to really get in as much activity as possible in the few times they get to go to a game, so you just might see us there at 5:30 or 6:00 to get in some early partying.
