to force that many turnovers against
passing offense like that is outstanding.
but if we had an offense that could atleast keep up with that defense we would be great.
i am not giving up on t-jack either but he isn't ready.
he hasn't been behind anyone who can get the job done.
so how can you expect a d-2 qb to get it done??? ring in byron, get him up to code let himplay after he gets the sytem down then let tj see how it is done. byron has taken a team to the playoffs.
    what else can i say?????

Re: Where is the offense ??!

The offense is on vacation and until its decides to show up this is what we are stuck with. looks like nothing more is on the horizon til we get a guy that can streeeetch the field we need one of those again, Not To chuck it down field every play, so we can move the ball more than 15-19 yards on a pass play.

byron got cut, that says something... i mean im all for bringing in a good vet but byron has to slow of a release for the lack of time the oline gives the qb

Re: Official Post Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants

This is not the offenses fault, not the WR's, not the QB & not the play calling. Certainly not the defense for giving up almost 400 yards in the air. Not even the coaches for not making the proper adjustments.

No, clearly this is Longwells fault. Did he not miss the game winning field goal? Was he not the one that cost us the win?

I mean come'on people, this is all I heard from many people here when they talk about our loss to the Falcons during the '98 season. It was all Gary Andersons fault. So to use YOUR logic, it must be all Longwells fault.

Re: Official Post Game Thoughts, Observations, and Rants

    Our offense sucks because:
#1 - Our offensive line cant pass block and give Jackson time to throw
    #2 - Jackson (enough said)
#3 - Play Calling is predictable and boring

    #4 - Penalties
#5 - We dont have ANY NFL caliber receiviers
#6 - Childress is in over his head
    -
apparently he thinks McNabb is still his Q/B because there is no way Jackson takes this team on any 12-15 play drives (which by the way would be needed if this offense were to actually score a T.D. due to see # 3, 4, and 5. )

feel free to add to this list as you see fit

The game was soooo bad I actually fell asleep in the third quarter and in my dream I had a flashback to last year when Childress actually had the balls to say

    [glow=red,2,300]This really is a kickass offense[/glow]

Now I see what he meant.

No....no he didn't. Had our offense showed up for the game, specifically the O-line & DB's or our QB was a more accurate & smart with his throws, it would not have, nor should have come down to a last second FG.

Re: Where is the offense ??!

Its just terriable how the team played today.
Can you name the people who played poorly
    today?
Longwell, Cook, Wade, Williamson, Oline, Jackson, Bollinger, pass defense, coaches, etc.
The Lions arent a playoff team either......
It just was a plain ugly game all around.
Do the Vikes beat KC next week?
    I doubt it.
Was the media correct assuming that they were a poor team?
    Yes.
They sure proved me wrong by guessing they would be better than last year...
