As a long time Longhorn fan, I am confident saying that AD Peterson will not be a flash in the pan.
He was a longhorn thorn for three years, and that is something when you consider how many longhorns are playing defense in the NFL.

    Are you serious?

    Basic football 101.

    a.
Take away thier primary weapon and make them beat you with thier weakest weapon.

On Offense our strenght is the run (AD/CT) and our weakness is the ability to pass.
You stack the box with as many people as it takes to stop him and force our weakness (Passing game) to beat you.
If our passing attack starts to work (in this case it didn't until we were down by +3 TD's) you keep stopping that threat.

On Defense our strenght is the ability to stop the run and our weakness is the inablity to consitently stop the pass.
In this case you make some token runs hoping that you will have minimal success to setup the pass a bit and attack our pass defense.

    b. You can also take a running threat out of the equation by getting a opponent who's only threat is a running attack by getting them in a situation where the clock is getting short and they need to score alot.

Teams behind with a short clock pass the ball and don't run.
Teams ahead with a short clock run the ball and don't pass.

    Very simple stuff my friend.
Alot simpler than trying to explain how AD is a bust.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

    LMAO!

Tomlinson, Emmitt Smith, Gale Sayers, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, OJ Simpson, you name the back and I'll guarantee you that they couldn't run against the defenses Peterson has seen.

It appeard to me the defense gave up after awhile. After playing phenomenal most of the game, I believe they got gassed physically and mentally. It's got to be frustrating to watch the offense screw the pooch on all your hard work. Giving up that safety after a goal line stand hurt. Plus the special team gets the onsides only to have the offense go 3 & out.

    PS:

After stumbling back on the T Jack wagon, I fallen off hard this time. 4-8 yd slants and curls is all he can do. There's got to be more there when there's 8-9 in the box......... got to be.
I've been a Viking fan since I was just out of diapers, hopefully we get Super Bowl win before I go back in 'em.

I live amongst Eagles fans here in Delaware.
Unsolicited, one of my best friends, die-hard Eagles fan, Fantasy Football reigning Champion, a guy that knows football, sends me an e-mail this morning..."must suck to be a Vikings fan.
With a QB, Vikes are in the NFC Championship game.
    TJack kills them."

10 wins minimum next year...the Mendoza Line is 10; with, or without TJack.
Sure, I'm not happy today, but, it is clear that Chilly is limited in the options.
When the other team is limited, Gibbs will win 9 out of 10 times.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

I still say today that Chillys play calling was the difference. If he would have made the change ealrlier in the game like in the middle of 2nd quarter we would have had a chance but he was dumb. I dont like Chilly. He is too much like Green plays much too like not to lose. And that PREVENT DEFENSE has me kicking my own ass. I am sick of seeing it so much! I need a defensive minded coach. I have never been a fan of the head coach calling the plays when it comes to offense. Period. he has too much to worry about. I like his offense but he just dont know how to call it. He wasnt allowed to call it in Philly and it shows y here too.
I am THE #1 Sidney Rice #18 Fan ever! Don't Be surprised when this kid IS a superstar! He is humble, smart, tough, talented and has alot of character! Takes alot of pride in his work, team, fans and life. Watch out for this kid! I think he is awesome! Everytime he touches the ball its MAGIC!
