Re: Official Post Game Thought, Observations, and Rants

I dont get upset as much when we loose anymore because i stay away from football during the week so i dont get involved so i dont feel as upset when we loose.

    Some other postives
We finally scored more than 10 points
and we had over 400 yards of offense

What a waste of money that piece of crap McKinnie is! It seems like the guy doesnt try or something. He should be benched after this bye week. We better make some big time adjustments during this bye week. Maybe acquire Levi Jones. But everybody knows there will be no adjustments because Childress is a clueless piece of dump and doesnt make adjustments during halftime. I guess Childress is content with losing because it seems like he doesnt care either. McKinnie should be benched, Cook should be benched(at least Cook works hard though).

Im glad that is the last time i will see Holcomb in a Viking uniform...i would rather have BOLLINGER start over him.

    Wow....

    1 stat explains this game.

AP 10 for 108 at 5 min mark in 2nd quarter
12 for 112 at end of game....

    Fire Childress now.

For the second week in a row, we missed a wide open receiver for a long pass play.
I hate to say that refs cost us the game because they didn't, but they did miss a couple of calls that would have helped us tremendously.
Driver was obviously the aggressor when we had the pick in the first quarter and the call went against us.
The fumble that Greenway picked up that was called an incomplete pass( the rule has been changed for this year, possession with two feet on the ground, not necessarillary a football move after the catch) and the non-interference call with less than 2 minutes to play.
We still had a chance, but the calls didn't help us.

I agree with Ultra pretty much.

    I loved Peterson today.
The kid is flat out exciting.
Whoever kept pulling him out needs to be fired (*looks pointedly at Childress*).

Saw a great future in Rice today.
Kid made a lot of great catches, especially the TD.
Between him and AP, we have a nucleus to build on.

    Longwell...hit all of 'em.
That's about all you can ask.

    Winfield, another solid performance.
Greenway played well, the Williams brothers, Leber, Smith....a lot of things I liked there.

    On the other hand....

    Childress is a complete moron.
The pass Defense/Rush as a whole is shiite.
And it's just flat out EMBARRASING to see a punter scortch your ST unit for a 1st down.
McKinnie is what he's always been....a big, overpaid lump of goo.
He got torched so bad today he should pay back the money he made.
The right side of the O-line was horrible - as always - but McKinnie set a new individual low today.

Now we get to watch the rerun of the record breaking TD over...and over...and over....and over...

    2-14, here we come!!!!

    Caine

    PS:
    Fire Childress!!!!!!

I think our pass defense played pretty damn well, considering Favre threw it 50 times.
They held them to ONE touchdown until they essentially collapsed from exhaustion in the fourth quarter.
They stopped them quite a few time.
When a team plays as badly as we did on offense and is STILL in the game, the defense isn't the problem.
    Favre was 32-45 for 71%.

    That is terrible.
    Nothing good about that.

dude whatever, you would rather have bollinger start. a couple weeks ago it was "I HATE BOLLINGERS OMGZ!@!y*&^@$ WTFDFDSH!#@" and now its id rather have bollinger start, holcomb missed a few throws. but the line was horrible, we had chances to win the refs just dogged us again.

was a blatent fumble which woulda went to the house, and the last play that got picked was pass interference

i hate the idea of dieing before another winning season

I'm not nearly as negative as that we did have plenty of offensive flashes during that game between both RBs, Rice, Shiancoe, and Wade to be as negative as I assume some of you will be I'll just see if when we put Tarvaris back in after the bye week if we can get these flashes to sustain over a full game it can get better.
Exactly. Whenever we did have a flash it was then followed by something negative, or 3 points.

We're definately taking it on the chin this year, and I agree we have a wait 'til next year team for sure.
Our defense is ready to compete right now, and they will only be getting better throughout this year.
Childress's staff definately needs to answer for our game plans and hopefully they will get it together over the bye week and we'll be able to at least save face in the next 12 games, just not too much though, if we're gonna suck let's at least suck well enough and have a chance for Andre Woodson or Brian Brohm.
Curses to Denver for moving up and stealing Cutler...jerks

I liked the look of those slick uniforms. Game-wise, it stunk. Too many negatives to even mention. I have a headache.
    Even babies know the difference.
