    Why?
Because you see signs of ability and improvement every week.
    Childress needs to go.
    Because the opposite is true.

I was a huge Childress supporter when we first signed him.
I said anyone would be better than Tice.
    I was completely wrong.
When we went 2-0 at the beginning of last year, I thought we had a legitimate team here in MN.
When we lost to the Bears the following week and had an absolutely pitiful offense (yes, the Bears D was great - but our offense was conversely as bad that week) I was furious.
But, I decided to shrug it off and give Childress more chances.
He has done nothing to improve anything.
We have as poor an offense, and there are absoultely no signs that waiting and being patient will lead to a legitimate team.
I don't mind waiting for my car to get fixed, when I know it's getting fixed.
There's nothing you can do but wait.
But, waiting for Childress is like hearing a bad noise starting in your engine and deciding to wait it out and hope for the best.
Mike Tice (as much as I hated his abilities as a head coach) had less talent and better results.
20 games into the Childress era, other teams continue to figure him out, and we continue to look lost against other teams.
They are adjusting to us, we continue showing them the same old weaknessess.

The Packers aquired a new head coach along with us.
I refuse to say they have more talent than us.
    Mostly because they don't.
I know, they have a veteran HOF quarterback with Donald Driver.
Aside from that, we are stacked at talent, offensively and defensively.
They have a winning record, and we are worse off than last year.

    Look at San Diego.
I keep brining them up because they were a monster team under Schottenheimer.
Now, they've lost again to Kansas City!
The Chargers are NOT a 1-3 team by any means.
Norv Turner is the only coach in the NFL worse than Chilldress.
He has more talent and is absolutely worthless.
    Great post!

    Thanks Josdin

He didn't mention Holcomb or Tarvaris Jackson...I happen to agree with him.
We do have more talent at RB, and DT, however, that's it.
We have hope, for next year.

    True, a quarterback IS important.
But I'd rather have someone with a history of producing RESULTS coaching this team.
Keep in mind, Childress himself is largely responsible for our current QB situation.

That is truly a sign of horrible coaching!!
A.D. has 10 carries for 108 at the half...
Only touches ball 2 more times in 2nd half!!
That is the most retarded thing i have ever seen as a viking fan!!

Comes out after halftime and gets a 55 yd return on kickoff then you leave him out of game!!
He should be the starter and C.T. should come in to give him breathers..
How do you not make sure he gets at least 20- 25 touches on offense!!
    Childress is an idiot!!!

I'm gonna get tired of everyone parroting this real quick.
Sorry if I seem a bit harsh.

    Rant on.

    Yup, your right.
GB didn't come in and eat up almost 2/3rds of the 3rd quarter, and get ahead by 14 points and AD didn't return a 51 yard punt return.

    Comeon man.
Look at the gametime situations before you make a post like that.

Who in he heck would you rather have blocking all the DL/LB coming through our OL in obvious passing situations, a rookie or a seasoned vet?
Keeping in mind that rookie RB's can adjust to the game rather quickly but can't/don't pick up pass blocking real well.

    Rant off.

Sorry Marr, but the answer to that is, you make your RB a part of the passing game at that point, not a blocking RB......

That is if your RB has the talent level of AD..........Sitting AD at that point, is like taking points off the board.
He's our #1 chance at putting points on the board so far this season, now I ask, why would you sit him?.........

Not good coaching at all if you ask me....

I agree that you make the RB part of your passing, but only if you don't have to keep him in there to protect your QB, as was the case tonight.

Again, it all comes back to the damn OL and I agree with you that it is bad coaching that they can't fricken pass block.
